Great day out lads - thanks for everyone turning up and paying as promised great turn out as always. Joe thanks for doing most of the organisinig I think everyone really did have a good time, I had some good fun with various people as I passed them or they passed me. Happy to finish 5th just 10secs behind Civic considering I too had a duff kart - that wasnt why I could catch the front runners though, Reason = Donkey Kong aka SUBA He was so hard to pass, refused to let you through and even forced me to go off and wide on several occasions! Did a brilliant manouvere to finally get past him with Joleen going one way and me going the other he just got confused. SHame I didnt have one of those red shells Welformed we ended up Willen Lake, great pub with nice views and good food. I think however youve under estimated Andy's Seat, I think he would seriously give you a run for your money with your spec

LOL "Joleen". That was one of my mates Shaun who I've recently helped out a lot in his new addiction to Karting. Each time I came across you guy's you were in a different order!
Willen is a pretty sound area. Probably not much different to Caldecotte tbh. Didn't you see me flashing my lights like mad? If there's a next time I must remember to get out of Karting mode...!

Lol! Anyone else and I'd have let them through Kev... I was laughing like a kid at some of your impatient attempts to pass me... Highlight of the Karting for me were doing a slow lap + then heading for the pits for Joe's black flag and coming in again after an excusion onto the grass for a 'kart check' that they had not noticed. On the bright side after Kevin finally got his act together and passed me once my little pit stop found me back in front of him. such a shame there were no blue flags.... I seemed to have a kart that wanted to go straight on all the time - only way I could get it to turn in at any speed was flicking it on the brakes - good practise and a giggle, but a bit slow! That track was pretty demanding - much better than a lot I've been on before. When's the next one?

Maybe I lost count. Came across Shaun about 4 times it seems. Maybe not. You forget I had to have a fruitless sign-language conversation with a guy in the pits losing me 2 minutes...

Great fun, Thanks To Kevin for the emotional support through the weeks coming up to this Thanks to Andy for the pictures, cracking stuff, I'd advise everyone to have a look. that Seat is storiming!!! The Karting was good, I qualified 11th, but after a dice with Hurstymofo round a sharp right hander, he had me on the insider and I drove wide, went over the whiyte line and was then black flagged , this knocked me down to 19th , but then with peepes spinning and a littel of my own driving I made it up to 12th in the end. Some good battling particularly with Suba, of the my car does not have wheels variety!!! it is the kart Si,..honest!! D: some good drinking when we eventually found a pub Matt glad you enjoyed the blast , it was good to have our EVO vs Frag match along the dual carriageways,....now you know,.... The True Power of the Coupe I realised today that my rear tyres were very low (12 psi anyone ) so pumped them up, that's sorted out the understeer , shame you couldnt have had a go like that!, ..next mini meet!! thanks to everyone else and to meet some new faces as well as pleasantly see some old ones, glad everyone enjoyed themselves. Joe

I did complement you on how well you stayed with me at the BP station - surprisingly well I think I just had a little more power on the straights but nothing in it round the roundabouts

My mum's poor golf! 180bhp and probably the worse chassis i've ever driven, I was surprised to be able to even keep you lot in sight! I'll try an get down to the next meet your all at, hopefully i've have my own motor by then. Can't make my mind up tho, i've narrowed it too... Skyline R32 GTR (expensive) BMW M3 E36 (expensive & untunable) 20VT (FWD) They all have their drawbacks, opinions welcome...

Thanks Joe and everyone for making my first Kart session such good fun. Those things are not built for hauling 20 stone frames about. Mine went faster sideways then it did in a straight line Weightwatchers for me before my next attempt, unless Joe you do amputations out of hours? Sorry I did not stay for a beer but needed to get back home, the A5 was murder so I may as well not have bothered Thanks again. Can I suggest tubogganing as the next event

A GP event generally rules out the "duff Kart" excuse, as you have loads of heats and swap Karts each time. It would take some serious organising to do that at Daytona though!
BTW my mates are well up for joining FCCUK for another sess if you need to make numbers up again.
Minomoto was also a suggestion...

BTW thats mathematically impossible
Suba your right my coup is slow compared to yours, but my skinny 13.5stone makes up the difference compared to your 19stone of muscle
Joe start looking at the next one! Really we should just risk an arrive and drive would work out alot cheaper

I was running third for the fist half of the race, then had an off and voluntarily returned to pits, rejoined in 10th, finished 8th :rollyes: But no way was I even close to 1:10 laps Just a few days before I was at Thruxton for a GP event, 33 of us altogether, good value at £50 each. Total track time around 40 mins with 1 x 10 min practice, 2 x 8 lap heats (first in timed order from practice, second in reverse order) then 1 x 12 lap (IIRC) final. Runs were done in 2 groups, with an A final (with me in ) and a B final. But for the best chance of glory, aim to be in the B final and win it easily instead of struggling down the pack in the A final. Facilities are more limited (no food, no bar, just a drinks machine) but the track is more technical, and has a tunnel under the end of the pit lane. For endurance events they open up another section of track with a hairpin. Well recommended!
