Road Trip through Wales end of August #1362719

A few of us were thinking of doing a road trip through Wales and especially North Wales, as there are some really good driving roads.

Maybe book a few log cabins in Brecon to stay over, have a bbq and then continue driving the next morning.

We were only going to do this as a small group, but thought there might be a few others up for this, as there aren't many of these kind of events. Rather than get together in a car park and look at each others cars, we want to go and enjoy driving on the best roads we can find, stop over for lunch and then continue.

We will work out a route beforehand so that we have a starting point and a finish line. Maybe the winner can get a prize of some sorts? laugh

We're looking at end of August where there will hopefully be a bit of sunshine left.

Anyone who's interested, please put your name down.

Evo Triangle is a good drive, albeit short, so you might have to do a couple of laps of it wink I won't be going, but enjoy laugh

I'd definitely be interested if it was a follow-up to the AGM.... I was thinking of doing the Evo solo anyway, and the long-term forecast for September is decent. The sun won't go down until the pubs open.

This is of course entirely dependent on Theresa allowing us into her country nono

Certainly interested depending on the dates. Time off work is difficult for me over the summer, plus a few prior arranged social engagements, but it if falls on a free weekend I might be up for it.

You're no worse than some of the other people that live here, so feel free laugh

I'll try and come along, depending on times and locations, but I'm working that weekend, so unlikely to make it.

I can't see much fast open road driving happening on a bank holiday weekend in north Wales.
And the Evo is a nightmare at weekends.

That's a very good point. Traffic will be nightmare.

What about the following weekend?

I suspect most people are out if it's not a weekend.
