Anyone up for a Sat/Sun run to say Moffat or Yarrow before the end of June?

Lunch there!

Yes I'm up for that, preferably a Sunday. Love the drive from the top of the Devil's beeftub down into Moffat. Actually I like it better on the way up as you don't need to brake - it's all throttle cool Where for Lunch?

Depending on actual date, would you mind a Vauxhall at the end of the queue? Would be fantastic to attend a coupe meet, it's been way too long and I feel I've lost touch with the local crowd. I can wear a FCCUK t-shirt and one of those old embarrassing LE jackets if it helps! wink

Seeing as it's no ordinary Vauxhall and that you are a long time member. I don't think that it will be a problem. I've never seen an LE Jacket so please do. laugh

Yes richandnic, you'll get there a lot faster than us so depending on which way we come we could meet you at Broughton(nice Cafe/Pub there) and then go on to Moffat. Or at the Gordon Arms Yarrow if we do a round trip and come the other way (via Innerleithen)

Hey, I'd like to think this was possible depending on actual itinerary and timing as I'll have my kids...
I'd certainly like to try and attend..

So can we firm-up the date to the 22nd June.
No itinerary as yet but would hope to be at Lunch venue for around 12.30. I'll probably have at least one of my Boys with me.

Balmoral gets good reviews and there is also the Moffat House Hotel which is nice for Parking the cars all together and photo opportunities.

22nd is good for me so unless any complications I'll make inquiries at one of the above venues (photo op at Moffat is tempting) for reserving a bunch of seats together and kids' meals.

Works for me likely to have the kids with me (4 and7)

Once there is a route, we'll look at where to meet you

Ok, I've reserved lunch space at the Moffat House Hotel for Sunday 22nd June at 1.00 p.m.

So far they're working on 6 adults and 6 children (kid's menu available) - numbers can be adjusted up to 48 hrs beforehand. smile

We were regulars at this when my mum had her (now sadly sacrificed to the tin moths) Commer pb van. Was a great event with a very pleasant group of enthusiasts.
