guys - remember that 27th July is Ten of the Best in Yorkshire - should be LOTS of Coupe owners travelling over to support Flea and me \:D

why not make up a Midlands convoy? There's usually several small convoys that end up converging at Ferrybridge services on the A1, then a big Coupe convoy into Elvington

I might have to give this meet a miss.
I'm trying to hold on to my pennies at the minute, got my car in the bodyshop at the end of the month & i'm currently going though with a house purchase (my first place).
It's going to be an expensive month.

Yeah meet at the Darleston inn (ST15 0PX) about 11.00
then go for a drive including some dual carriage ways, a tunnel, and a few good b roads ending up at the Jervis Arms at Onecote (ST13 7RU) to grab a bite to eat.

What do you think?

Will we be missing out the speed camera's on the drive from Darleston inn to Jervis Arms. As when i put it in the route finder it tells me there's speed cameras around there.

This sounds excellent.

Is the Jervis arms the one with the stream outside with the foot bridge over it? (the one where you head from Leek > Ashbourne, and take the left at the crossroads where that other pub (the Green Man I think it is?) is on the corner?

If so I just hope it's not too busy when we arrive, because car parking can get limited very quickly if it's the pub I'm thinking of - and again from memory, it's down a country lane where alternative parking isn't the easiest to find.

Not trying to put a dampener on the idea though, it's a cracking route and hopefully we'll be lucky when we get there \:\)

I've just spoken to Paul at Motormech, and he says my car should be ready by the weekend, so fingers crossed all will be well. There is however a slight chance it won't be ready, so what I was going t ask is.. would somebody who is a definite for this be kind enough to PM me their mobile number please? I imagine it'll be a bit last minute when I find ouf if I can get the car or not, and if it's bad news at least I'll be able to let you guys know I won't be there, to save you waiting un-necessarily.

However things are looking okay atm so I should be there \:\)

It looks like I won't be able to make it this weekend °\(
There's a pretty strong chance that I'll be on a plane to Islamabad on Sunday \:o

I was really looking forward to meeting up with a few new and a few old faces, as well. Hope you all have a good one \:\)

Anybody want a mint centre console or a pair of headlights?

Open to sensible offers on either, really starting to run out of cash now!

No driving at all, until I get paid!

I'm not going to be able to come to the meet unless somebody wants a pair of headlights, as I dont have enough fuel for the round trip and I'm completely out of cash!

Sorry guys.

Count me in for a convoy from Bassetts pole if you like.

If we've got to be in Stoke for 11am, what about a 10.15 meet up?

I've now got my car, so I'll definitely be there.

For the record Paul has done a bloody fantastic job, and it sounds utterly awesome - all new pipework, cleaned out induction kit, new pro alloy intercooler with straight induction pipe and performance cat \:\/ \:\)

Let's hope there aren't too many pedestrians nearby with any heart conditions \:D

Were you behind me on the first bit before we stopped at the BP?

There was a silver coupe behind me smoking, could have been speed actually?

Thanks for seeting it all up too paul, was the best driving roads i have been on for awhile. I will definitely be coming to the next one.

MattW thanks very much, i was a little surprised on the a50, i was worried that yours would be quite abit faster, but noticed above 5500rpm i could gain. (means that my power figure at powerstation can't be too far off)
Your car looks awesome from behind, very nice colour.
When i came past you on that bumpy part i wasn't expecting it to be that bouncy and my sister nearly came out the seat \:\)

This was a top meet with top coupes, looking forward to the next.

You were definitely gaining on me, but I had a boost control problem. My AVCR had learnt a bit more since being set up so I had to rectify it. Running better now \:\)

I remember you saying it was boosting too high, I was only running 1.25 bar, but could see the difference between the 28r and the 28rsr above 5.5k. Those avcr are great controllers but abit of a pain to setup, i wish i got one instead of the blitz as you can have different boost levels for each gear and rev range.
Was good to meet you, need to have a better chat next time \:\)

You only got 234 at the wheels at powerstation?

I think on a different rolling road you would get 270 at the wheels, same flywheel figure. I got 266 at the wheels, (but was running less than that yesterday because it screwed up after 5000rpm)

I dont know how much I was down by, but there is definitely nothing wrong with your car. \:\)

Thanks Matt, next time (when yours is running like it should above 5k) i bet we will be very even. I was very surprised to get such low wheel figures, turboj was sure my car didn't have more then 280bhp too with the low wheel figures :), least you have seen that my car can go \:\)

I think yours will always be quicker if you rev it right to the top. my power and torque peaks are a bit too "peaky", I need to beef up the areas around them to get a faster coupe with the same power and torque. ;\)

Might make another trip to the RR at some point for a bit of tweaking....
