I'm looking to organise a Christmas Meal following a nice, gentle drive for a Sunday (?) in December. Thinking either the Lakes or possibly Wales as a destination.

This will be a one day event (no overnighters) aimed mainly at Northern owners but it'll be open to anyone who wants to travel.

I'll post up some dates and possible locations in the next couple of days and if anyone has suggestions, please post up.

Interested.

Same reply as for Scottish meet, totally dependant on work. If i can get away for a few hours, i'll deffo be there if its in the lakes region.

Might have a problem if its on the same day though \:\(

This is how it should have come out of Torino!

Right, to try and make this as easy as possible and to move it forward, can I propose 2 mini meets - one at the Cat & Fiddle in Buxton and one at the Sportsmans in the Lakes?

These weren't my first, ideal choices but the concensus seems to be split over location.

If everyone's OK with this, I'll check with the Pubs today and put some possible dates up for each Meet.

I'll probably be able to make a Cat & Fiddle meet, but doubt I'd be able to make a Lakes meet (snow again??)

Post up some dates MABR!

Right, apologies for the delay in this.

Both locations are available to us on any Sunday in December.

The Cat & Fiddle doesn't do a Christmas Menu on Sundays but does have a full Carvery Service. This is priced at £8.95 for adults and £4.95 for children.

The Sportsman's does have a Christmas Menu on Sundays as well as its standard menu running alongside. I'm waiting for them to email me the menu but the cost is £15.95 per person. As stated, if you don't want to go for the Christmas Fayre, the standard (and cheaper \:\) ) menu will be available.

So what interest do we have?

Sorry Matt but Julie's not happy with "woman" so I've put +1. Look on the bright side mate, it could have been worse; Julie wanted me to put "she who must be obeyed" or "love of my life" etc etc.

Put me down for 7th Dec at the cat & Fiddle - hopefully no snow this time!

Ballllllssssssss

No way I can make this I'm sorry \:\( I'm pretty much done for every weekend in December, why the hell do families expect to see you in the run up to Christmas, surely that's what the postal service is for?! \:D

But seriously..I'm gutted I can't make it, would've normally jumped at this.

And for those of you who don't know, the Cat and Fiddle is so famous it gets it's own spot on the weather. Seriously.. where I live, the weather map shows "Manchester.. Liverpool.. Derby.. The Cat and Fiddle". No joke..

I've been keeping my eye on this as I'd love to come but cannot commit yet!

but.... should this be postponed a week ?? The fiddle is very likely to be snowed in this weekend, We've seen snow there before even in April! (i think that's fab but it might not make for a good coop run)

Also - what happened to Theresa you are not allowed to drop out T. Nor you Pinin or Mona or anyone else within reach it's the law!

ps. did you get me txt Craig \:\?

OK people - I've left this as long as I possibly can whilst keeping an eye on the weather. \:\)

I'm going to suggest Lymm Truck Stop on the M6 as a meeting up point and 11 am as a meeting time. That should give us plenty of time for a nice (read steady) drive to the Cat & Fiddle for a Sunday Carvery.

Just to confirm that I'll have Club Car Stickers, Club Flasks, Club Rucksacks and Club Tyre Pressure Gauges with me if anyone wishes to buy an early Chrissie Pressie - TPG's will be £5 each - bargain!

If any Club Members are attending, I'll bring your Club T Shirt along with me too! \:#

Well sorted Craig - Great meet. \:\) Nice to meet everyone and a jolly nice dinner too. Must admit that's a great drive and a great pub too, couldn't have picked a better day either

Here are a few pics from the day. Not too many as the cars couldn't be parked together (place was chokker!) and it was a wee bit cold outside \:\)

Hmmmmm lets start with ........ Tommy Coop's Coop

Before moving on to Megagirths coop

We all know Sprint Blue is best BUT

This one Isn't Bad

Is It ?

A silver Coop in Colour

A Silver Coop in Black and White Well Infra-Red really

More Silver

No room at the Inn (if only we'd had three wise men and a virgin) \:D

Tommy Coops Coop in the sunlight

Same only different

And in Black and White

And another

TC's Coop again!

Another Black and White

Right lets have a proper colour

Sprint Blue on the move

Trev's Coop

Trev's Coop in black and white

Nice to meet you all. Lets do it again soon \:\)

Nice photos, sounds like you guys had a nice time. We were planning some photos of the meet North of the border but unfortunately Scotland seemed to be closed yesterday (or maybe they'd just heard we were coming \:D ) so our plans were foiled. \:\/
