i couldnt make today due to ripping the bolts out of the gearbox mount last night,so now i need to fix it again tomorrow or tuesday lol

Given that Mark hasn't run his Coupe on the 1/4 before, it was a pretty good start straight out of the blocks last night with a 13.1 @ 113mph. Plenty left in the car though, and despite being fully loaded and on standard road tyres, he still managed a 12.8 @ 114mph earlier today

So no weight saving, no traction control, no anti-lag, no track/drag tyres... just the right foot and a very fast coupe is all that's needed

Just got back, very tired. Was a great weekend though, with a bit too much alcohol on the Saturday night.

Only had 4 runs on the saturday evening, and my first was the best with a 13.1 at 113mph. My boost wasn't going as high as I wanted though with going through the gears. So notched it up slightly for Sunday and it showed with my terminals consistently going up from 113mph to 114mph.

I managed 3 12.9's and a 12.8@114mph. My 60ft was 2.30secs. I managed to get 2 2.20's on my last 2 runs but by that point it was too hot and the car wasn't pulling quite as hard. My worst run was a 13.4 where the car just bogged down. My friend had a couple of goes and got 13.5. Although I had one time come in at over 14 seconds, but I think I must have rolled forward at the line before launching as it wasn't a bad run.

Like I said before this trip was more for practise and experience. It has definately worked as my launches were always improving and I felt a lot more comfortable. Hopefully should see some better times with less weight and better rubber.

Was good to meet lots of new people, although you may not have got much out of me today as the hangover took over.

Only got beat once all weekend from 10-15 runs by a Nissan GTR.

PS. the car ran great all weekend again. No issues at all.

Lowlights!

Dozens of bellend hardcore 4x4's queing for the 1/4mile and hogging it by performing regular 20+sec times,.. Pointless!

Track shut for an hour due to pants RS Fiesta chavved up and spewing oil!

Me doing a burnout after a 5.7ltr TVR TR7 Left tonnes of rubber, Only to find the grip so emmence my engine nearly lept out and left mounts in the bay, Car still feels odd now!

Me missing 2nd gear and having to run 1-3rd gear passing at 15.6, Albeit at 99mph! Clutch is way on its way out, Its like shifting cement,.

Me then looking at guy offering me forward at the start line to see if my position was ok, Zoooom, Opposing cars gone!
Still cought it over the line! But that was a void run...

Me jumping the god damn lights, Then doing about 20mph over line,...

Did have 2x 2.1sec 60ft times though!

Eldinho's run with the GTR was good, Ive perfect footage of it, He was quick, But damn those Liners can catch up, 12.XXX in the end..

What was your best run Chrissy? Did you get a good run?

The run with the GTR was my slowest terminal all weekend at 110mph. I think the engine was just too hot. I think I got a 13.1 on that run with a 2.2 60ft.

I wondered why the track was closed for so long, I was already in the queue so had to bake in the sun which made my hangover worse.

Matt - Oh, My quickest was a 15.1 and that was with gearchange issues, My clutch is wanked I think.

I think a mid-late 14 could be done...

Similar spec'd CTRs were doing 14.4,5,6,7

So annoying though, My real mildly tuned 20vt eased a 14.2 with cracked manifold!

The CTRs are hardwork, 1,2,3,4 & 5th gears are used! Maybe an auto would be an option!

hi guys wish i knew this was on would of came to watch good times considerin the heat as well! what sort of power does a coupe need to run a 13.0 roughly?

About 380-400bhp

300 for a 13.6

430bhp for a 12.9

And a good launch!

I ran 13.92 with 249.6 bhp good launch required.
