Thanks... tongue

A bit of info if this area was decided upon for a meet:

Its free to get on the beach, and it can prove to be good for photo's..... when the tide is in (but not in too far!)

There are a couple of speed scameras about, but not too many, I know most, if not all, there locations from weston to cheddar, and there are some very good, fast (if thats what you want) and / or scenic roads in the area.

One route, which takes in some of the somerset levels, that i'd suggest is....

clicky - map / route WSM -cheddar

or something similar.

Ironically, I'm likely to be in portsmouth in september, but would happily make the trip back for a meet 'on home soil' smile

Yes, definitely so good, fast and scenic roads around Cheddar.

It's where we had a close encounter of a Pheasant kind a few years ago (and probably altered the colour of a motorcyclists underpants too) laugh

There is a video ...

Right, let's see a good turnout with lot's of Coupes.

I have a provisional route planned out, including lunch break in Priddy (good pub with plenty of parking), but what sort of a day does everyone want?

We can finish with a short drive after lunch or go on until late afternoon??

I'll get provisional map up in a couple of days, depending!

May be on for this. Will need to bring the wife as I'll have just got back from two weeks on holiday on my own and then a trackday and a few other items. So if the weather's good I'll probably be there.

Good to see so many interested.

I promise a nice day, no rain etc. etc. rolleyes - this is the provisional route, which includes lunch stop in Priddy.

Map (only the Cheddar bit!)

And the Pub - Here! - there aren't any better pics, but take it from me it's pretty good.

There are some pretty good roads here for a Coupe convoy.... wink

I would definitely be interested if the weather's nice. Would be a good drive and a good chance to meet some fellow coopsters. Although without a turbo I'm not sure I'd be able to keep up...

hehe, I'm not really worried about getting left behind smile Depending on the order we set off, I could be near the front of the line then you'll all just be stuck behind me for miles laugh
Of course, with one of Leighton's chips in my car I should be almost as fast as you turbo guys anyway... I wish.

Promise, it'll be a good drive, weather will be good, lunch (if you want it) is very good, plus plenty of photo opportunities.

What more could you want! Let's get a good turnout.

OK, I hope everyone (who's car is still running) is still up for this one.

The weather is supposed to be fine, the drive will be and luch, at This Place should be pretty good.

Option of a further drive after lunch as well should make a good day. driving

I suggest that we meet up on Weston sea front, near the pier at 9.30 for 10.00 start when we can make our way to Cheddar for a photo session / tyre kicking / short walk, before a drive on to Priddy for lunch.

After lunch there are some good roads to enjoy to finish the day off mid - late afternoon.

Sound a plan?? Who's still running ?

Be there laugh
