You should be an agent

It does look very smart but I'm puzzled that power is only 152......could it be a non-turbo?

Looks very nice but I wonder why it doesn't have all the late bit on it -
6 speed box, push button start, silver dials, push button start and recaro interior?

Thought that myself

Maybe a late reg standard 20vt? A VIN number check would reveal all
Misprint on the power I reckon

I made some enquiries about this car today so I thought I'd share with you if anyone's interested. I haven't viewed the car, it's about an hour from me, but had a long-ish conversation with the dealer.
It seems someone else did view it today and offered £2k, which was exactly the price I had in mind and would have been my one time, best & final offer if the car had stacked up OK. I talked the dealer through the "late 20VT" thing, which he said he hadn't been aware of but the earlier viewer had referred to. So he checked the seatbelt tags whilst I was on the phone and they said 10/98...so it must have sat around a while, even if it was built in '99 with '98 seat belts. The name on the V5 was apparently the owner from new, but the original purchase receipt said it was from Wimbledon Carriage Co - I remember them, but were/are they a main dealer? Finally, it turned out that whilst the cambelt had only done 20k miles, that 20k covered the past 6 years, so 6 years since the belt was done. I pointed out to him that that was a £450 bill immediately although he seems to feel that it doesn't need doing because it has "only covered 20k miles". and there's £450 straight away. So I stuck to my £2k offer and he said no and that was that. He's a fairly high-end dealer (Astons, Mercs, Porkers etc) so I guess he can afford to leave a £2.5k Fiat sitting in the corner until someone pops up willing to pay up.

Good work Cappo
Thanks for taking the effort and time to write up your findings. I'm sure someone might find the cash. Lets hope it's one of us

Great stuff Cappo. This guy knows that good cars always sell and is holding out. Good on him. £2500 + £400.00 for cambelt isn't such a bad price for what you get IMHO
As a note; I'll be updating soon on a eBay coupe purchase, once it arrives on my driveway

It was only up for around 6 hours though

Wimbledon Carriage Co was a dealer that specialised in selling second hand Coupes. The used to have about 20 in stock at any time. They were not a main dealer and soon moved on to some other "hot" marque
