Bloody hell, someone has been driving around with standard headlights for since 1996. They must have eyes like an owl!

Looks nice, I like it.

"WHILE SOME TOOL WAS LEFT ON ENGINE"
I think this should read "When some tool left something on the engine and shut the bonnet" laugh

I'm sure some mention of belts etc would be nice for 4k! I know it's low mileage and looks stunning but....

not really a fan of the matt look!
however it does look nice and unique.
now a coupe with tvr style colour change paint could be truly awesome!

Re: Mmmmm, matt Vinci grey! - 20/08/2013 11:25

Personally I think it looks crap on a TVR, but as with everything each to their own! smile

Re: Mmmmm, matt Vinci grey! - 20/08/2013 12:45

my thoughts are the paints expensive and would in the right colour suit the coupes unique appeal this new direction of matt look makes cars look cheap and unfinished imo!
or crap as you say!

Didn't the Rover 200 have similar paint? I'm not a fan of matt paint either, so not arguing with your comment on this colour!

It joins the ranks of other chavved up old mattmobils, lower it an inch from the road and the look will be complete.

Eh? It looks standard save the bumper, but then there are loads of this style on The forum.

Re: Mmmmm, matt Vinci grey! - 20/08/2013 17:45

It looks very subtle to me. The striped one elsewhere is what i would describe as chavved up. All just a matter of personal opinion though, i've spent a great deal of time returning mine to its completely standard frog on a skateboard look.

So many chavs down here in matt shitters, guilty by association IMCO (in my correct opinion)
I view it now as a classic, (not a future classic) and should therefore be treated that way, ie. with respect.

Very local to me but never seen it about. Not sure about the matte paint but nice to see one that's been cared for nonetheless.

Your going to hate mine when it's finished hehe
I really think people have a lot of misconceptions of people who modify there cars, chav is police slang for council housed and violent and simply does not apply to most car modifiers.
It's a tradition that's as old as the hills, people don't turn there noses up at a beautiful '50s hot rod but back in the day i'm sure there were some people who just didn't get it and thought they were all ugly and anyone who drove one was a hooligan.
These cars are not sacred, they are mass produced and will never be exactly as everyone would have designed it themselves. I'm all for preserving pristine low millage examples for future generations but if you think it looks better with carlos fandango wheels and an ironing board on the back then do it, it's your car! wink

The front bumper, grill and rear bumper lip are all Zender cool

The wings are aftermarket vented ones.

I think it's tastefully modified (like mine laugh ) and looks very nice cool

It will no doubt surprise people to know...

that *I* actually quite like it.

Not sure I'd do mine like that, but that's well done and reasonably subtle... though, somehow it looks, er, polished! Could just be the light/photography, I suppose, but polished matt?

Is it just an un-buffed Vinci?!

Re: Mmmmm, matt Vinci grey! - 21/08/2013 07:38

I think it looks very aristocratic. Not initially sure about the bonnet-only view, but the sideline is debonair yet restrained.

Thumbs-up from me smile

As a veteran of this place who has been known to be fairly "anti" modified Coupes over the past 10+ years, I have to say I like this too (with the possible exception of the wings). Strangely, the paint almost "modernises" the car. We're still looking for one for MrsC, and now that she's changed her mind on colour (don't ask rolleyes ) I'd be thinking of viewing this were it not over 3 hours away. It's on eBay at £1795 with no bids and no reserve.

I must say again I do love the colour. If I was going to do a spray like that I'd make sure it was 100% before putting it up forsale because you'll just get knocked down left right and centre for it

Was watching and waiting for this got pulled by seller at starting bid with one bidder before the end of auction.
