Hello

Hello everyone, thought i'd come on and introduce myself after buying Alan(arm)'s Electric Blue Plus over the weekend! I've been a long-term hawker on this site, I think I first registered back in 2009! I have for a long time, considered myself to be a Fiat Coupe person despite not owning one! I have been looking for the right coupe since January and finally this one ticked all the boxes.



I was going to send her over to my local Italian car Indy for a check over but have subsequently found out he doesn't do coupes anymore! Is there anyone local to me that can suggest someone familiar with coupes where I might take her? I'm in Fleet Hampshire.

Hi Chris and welcome, Alan had told me that you had bought the Plus and were based in Fleet, and had seen my Porto 20vt in the past. This makes sense because I used to be in Fleet roughly once a week late afternoon/early evening up until a couple of years ago.

In the past I have done a lot of work on my Coupes myself, but am less inclined as I get older...In the past I have been mostly to see Rog at PowerItalia in Basildon, and Joe at FCSS at Upton upon Severn. But there are other specialists in the Midlands or further afield (I've used places in Wigan and Hull previously). I have used DTR over at Coulsdon once for a problem on my old 124 Spider, and they used to work on Coupes, not sure if they do now however.

Thanks Dave for the recommendations ill check them out... pretty sure you're the same person that lives around the corner from my parents actually they are in Lightwater ... I've always driven past and seen your coupe on the drive and been a bit like 'yeah ill get one at some point' I remember it being there when they first moved there in like 1998(ish)!!!

Yes I'm in Lightwater, been here since 1992, Coupe is easy to spot when it's on the drive, but the neighbours think I have just one Coupe that changes colour from Blue to White and back again, and an extra digit on the number plate that comes and goes Drop in next time you are here!

Welcome to the fold Chris, I met your Coupé before, Alan asked me to give it a quick once over at the Practical classic car show this year, it's a genuine example imo so you've purchased yourself an honest Coupé, happy driving

Oops just noticed you are William's Dad not William. Sorry, I get brain fug, it's a B12 thing.

I get that a lot but ive been using it so long I never think to change it ... the william it refers to is now 18 !!
