Hi Rich, good to see you back smile

Why not start a project thread for your extended adventures and a project discussion thread for anyone else to reply on smile

thanks both,
i could start a project thread, i guess it would keep it all in one place and probably get the right kind of attention off the members here.

@PaulL ... you want to know the story now or wait until i get the green light for a project thread?

Ricky

I'm interested in what other owners do, their reasons for choosing solutions and the ease of doing them or the snags that crop up.

It helps me to make my decisions and gives me encouragement to try things myself.

Also, your input will encourage others to contribute, which will help the site develop.

If and when you hit snags, there will be a host of folk who can give advice and support.

Do it, you know it makes sense. Sort of !

Welcome back to the forum from a fellow VIS owner.

I've done a fair bit of tinkering with mine so interested to hear about yours.

@PaulL there'll be no no danger of me not contributing, my issue is whilst almost a master tech with a manufacturer, fiat is not it and unfamiliarity with the brand really slows me down. ill document it all as best i can and probably local host it, with nextcloud/similar, saves the issue of files not being available via other image websites of years gone by.

I can assure you that there wont be many corners cut, because im definitely somewhere on a spectrum and it just sits wrong with me.

most of the build im planning to keep factory with the exception of a bunch of roadholding bits and some tech upgrades, (nothing too fancy i assure you but little QoL tweaks i feel the coop could do with)

@Gripped: thanks bud, had a few issues signing back up but that was me an not the servers, thanks to Simon for bearing with a typical "user" i dipped into your VIS Register and stuffed an entry in.

I'm interested to see what solutions people came up with to various issues. ill get some pics up as soon as/if i get the green light for a project thread. need to look into sharing photos from local storage to the world securely before any of that though wink

During the time you were away we set up storing photos directly onto threads in the forum.

Use the full editor option, then attachment manager.

Oh Nice, ok i may very well use that then, cant remember how large my photos usually are.
i just finished setting NAT rules up anyway, sooo may give me the option for larger files/videos if it's needed.

edit: also im a bit of a digital hoarder, because lets face it, the internet can be deleted & lost, i dont think it is the digital archive it could be at times,
trying to find aging software really sucks but once ive done legwork i squirrel it away.
