You don't need to be over 330lb/ft for trouble to occur. Look at the chap in Ireland, he had 300lbs and his rods went through his block. You will be using old rods on a more powerful engine, for the sake of a grand, get the reliability or expect to pay more, when the engine decides to go.

There are a couple of people on here that wished they had forged rods in the begining, but didn't want to of the cost and eventually ended up getting forged rods. Do it once, do it right \:\)

when my engine went last month i was only going to get the pistons, but decided i would prefer to be without the car for a tiny bit longer and get the rods and do it properly. i don't think it's worth the risk \:\(

Would you actually hit 330lb/ft in a t28?

You can easily make 330lbs/ft on a std turbo let alone a hybrid std. I saw a std turbo coupe make 350lbs/ft torque.
Particularly if you're running a std inlet and exhaust

would be worth putting the weight of the pistons up.

Do they come with uprated gudgeon pins?

I think those pistons look lovely on that glass and (forged?) chrome table, it'll be a shame to hide them away inside the engine, why don't you sell them off as decorative ornaments?
