Agree with Nazo except I would worry about the fact that the guy has only had it a few weeks. Has he found an expensive fault and he's hoping to pass it on quick?
Take an expert/mechanic along.

I had the exact same after-thought; but gave the benefit of doubt as he may not be able to run it or get insured.
