How much cash do I need for a Plus with history?

What is the going rate for a tidy plus with sensible miles in these credit crunch times?

As Carlt would tell you its not all about mileage but as vickster says about 4k, but i'd want another 1k spare for maintenance....

there are about three blue +'s on pistonheads at the moment, I reckon £4500 would secure any one of them.

134k miles, hardly what I would call sensible!

Is it my imagination or are coupes going up in value recently? Look at pistonheads.com.....good news and bad news at the same time, perhaps its due to the credit crunch, people requiring more money on a sale?

Thought we ALL knew that mileage WASNT an issue if it had full history which this seems to have had all at specialist and at 1900 for a w reg plus....certainly not one to be ignored! Maybe its because its too cheap for the forum

I am only going on what the OP said in his post Not what I believe...

I lost out on a x plate plus with just under 95k on the clock, 1 owner and full history.

I've seen the pictures and its was perfect and am told it drove well.

Buying through an agent and it went wrong!!!!

Couper, yes it is, the more miles the better in fact, anything up to 15k per year seems reasonable, the engine will have been used and got hot and so will all of the other parts of the car. Better that than a car only driven at the weekend.

You can rebuild engines etc.

Corrosion is starting to be my biggest concern with cars of this age.
