Yet another RR thread for me :) - 07/08/2009 22:27

right my car is down with leighton yet again but now it doesn't have a boost leak (or it didnt before i changed to nigels group buy hose clips anyhow how) laugh

soo anyway my car now has another new manifold on as last time was cracked when Flea mapped it so MAY have affected afr reading very slightly but not alot, but the boost leaks was definatly an issue causing pulsating boost as one leak was only occuring after 1.2/3 bar of boost frown

soo flea is now gonna finally fine tune it completely and then back on the rollers i go and we gonna tweak the boost upjust a little bit more too this time to SEE if it makes much difference or not.

Sounding good Luke smile

I think you'll make 370bhp and 310ft/lb.

Big chunk of the gasket missing, you coud feel the draft with the bonnet closed tongue

Re: Yet another RR thread for me :) - 12/08/2009 18:44

Zero boost leaks, she now holds what is required very nicely smile

1.4bar
350bhp @ 6757rpm
290lbs/ft @ 5940rpm
314bhp wheel power @ 6633rpm

1.65bar
366bhp @ 6835rpm
299lbs/ft @ 5522rpm
327bhp wheel power @ 6682rpm

So making good power no doubt, although there is room for improvement as the torque is lower than average. Increasing the boost made more power but only 10lbs/ft more torque, you would expect to see 20-30lbs/ft on a GT3071R. While there could be a number of reasons for this the most likely culprit is the peashooter exhaust causing excessive back pressure. Luke is unsure of the downpipe but I am 99% confident it is only 2.5" (an original H&S downpipe) with a 2.5" exhaust all the way back, too small for Luke's application.

Yes a 3" DP with and 2.75" or 3" exhaust should unlock the "missing" power. It made a major change to my power when I changed over. Getting rid of any exhaust back pressure can only be beneficial. What is the full spec?
