Why the heck not. laugh I dont really need to, but I'll help to make up the numbers and what's the worst that can happen.

Are you inviting any of the alfa/skyline/200sx guys? Also maybe think about posting it on Track Scotland, if we're struggling for numbers.....

Re: Scottish RR session 6th March - 16/02/2010 21:15

If anyone is in touch with Mr Matty could you possibly ask him what the procedure is if your car has a chunky bumper and lowered a bit.

Don't really want to travel all the way up there to either not get on or crack a bumper, will be changing the front ( again ) at some point.

Anybody know if Wallace Performance are any good with carbs (Dell'Ortos specifically) or can recommend a RR in Scotland (as near to Inverness as possible) that is?

Fine here by the coast - think it's around Dunblane/Stirling that it's been bad where it's a bit more inland.

Re: Scottish RR session 6th March - 02/03/2010 10:31

What a wimp. laugh

Let's have some predictions then on what you will achieve. I am going to say (assuming it's not unexpectedly running mega lean like last time) 330 bhp and 320 lbft. Although my clutch might have other ideas and I haven't decided what boost I'm running yet.....

There's a creme egg in it for whoever gets closest to their actual figures.
Posted By: Baz76

Re: Scottish RR session 6th March - 03/03/2010 23:54

I'm optimistically hoping for somewhere closer to 250bhp,although like a few of us I think my clutch may be a limiting factor in it when I up the boost laugh .

Baz smile

Re: Scottish RR session 6th March - 04/03/2010 08:56

Hmmm..i'm hoping for somewhere close to 300bhp with 300lbs/ft.

Cars in for a clutch change at the moment smile

Re: Scottish RR session 6th March - 04/03/2010 18:40

What time are you guys planning on getting there?

Re: Scottish RR session 6th March - 04/03/2010 19:23

Anytime suits me,the earliest I can leave though is 6:30am as I've got Kim to take to her work first.

What clutch have you went for Kelv?

Have fun this weekend guys, unfortunately I won't make it as I am currently stuck off the coast of Great Yarmouth.....

Hopefully you wont get too excited and turn up the boost too much MattB smile

Re: Scottish RR session 6th March - 06/03/2010 16:33

Well that was..... interesting.

I think it'd be fair to say the results were a little disappointing across the board, although doug looks like he'll be making good power with a bit of a tweak to the mapping.

My car continues to test my patience. laugh

Thanks guys for coming up - good to see you again. And cheers Matty for your efforts today. In particular, not blowing up my engine. wink

By the way doug, your nearside brake light isn't working.

Re: Scottish RR session 6th March - 06/03/2010 20:08

No problem.

Thanks for the attendance guys, good to catch up with you all.
Posted By: Baz76

Re: Scottish RR session 6th March - 06/03/2010 20:18

Well I made it home about an hour ago,had to switch to a lower boost pressure as I was starting to have a bit of clutch slippage and I confirmed it when I got closer to home,so it looks like new clutch time (along with the 6 speed gearbox cool ). So hopefully after I've attended to my doughnuts and done the other jobs I might have an improvement.

Once again, thanks Matty for your time today and good to catch up with the rest of you guys as well cool .

Re: Scottish RR session 6th March - 06/03/2010 21:03

cheers matt, will get it changed, was good to see everyone again, will be interesting to see what your car makes when the car gets that prob sorted out as it looked to making really good power even on base boost, i am looking foward to getting the map tweaked on mine and getting a final figure for it as well
Posted By: Kelv27

Re: Scottish RR session 6th March - 06/03/2010 23:22

Just got up from my nap...

Yes indeed, thanks to Matty and all that made it today. Figures are crap today but the drive back home was good after Matty tweaked the greddy to give it abit more torque...so that is atleast a consolation smile
Posted By: Begbie

Re: Scottish RR session 6th March - 08/03/2010 10:39

So what were the results then gents?
Posted By: mattB

Re: Scottish RR session 6th March - 08/03/2010 10:46

I *think* I got 200 lbft and 236 bhp. I forgot to get any printouts.
Posted By: Anonymous

Re: Scottish RR session 6th March - 08/03/2010 14:19

266bhp and 234lbft torque although that will hopefully be higher after a bit of map tweaking, but even at that its 50bhp more than i made last time so well pleased, matt figures were at base boost 0.8bar so should be interesting when running full boost
Posted By: Baz76

Re: Scottish RR session 6th March - 08/03/2010 18:46

My results were 220 bhp and 225 lbft frown . I guess I shouldn't grumble seeing as my Coop is at 123K and it's still reaching the standard outputs,I was just hoping that I would see this elusive 250bhp while still running a standard turbo on a Gtec1 chip.

I guess if I don't see any improvement after I sort a possible boost leak from my manifold doughnuts and change my clutch I'll probably ditch the chargecooler and Pace SMIC and try a FMIC with a superspool cool .
