Genuine runway bash ?

I "may" have the permission, to use a local airfield near me for drag runs....if you look on the Map in Kent for a place called LYDD, you won't be far off....

I'm just polling for interest, I still have to approach my contact for full details, however they are open to anything, my slant has been all money raised ( £5 per run ), goes to charity

Timing? Who will provide the equipment?

Sounds pretty cool, might be up for that, same question as above re. timing equipment or will it be retro and just use someone at the side of the finish line stating who crossed first?

Yeah, not too sure about timing gear, I'd have to chat with the lady at the airport, however it's not to say someone here cannot help me a bit...

No idea Nigel, however it's Lydd Airport, which recently had a Boeing 737 use it for a test landing / flight...it really is used mainly for short trips, like Le Touquet etc...
