I went to last years which was at Deene Park - stately home and grounds. It was a terrific event and turnout with a huge variety of Italians thumb

I've got her garaged most of the time. I shake off the cobwebs in the summer months when then suns out. Sometimes I take her to work in digbeth. Otherwise its Stratford on a Sunday for a cruise lol most of the time I drive the countryman. I'm sure we will cross paths. I haven't seen another LE in the westmids yet.

Just a final shout for this. Save a few quid on advance tickets from the website. I'll definately be there. Gates open at 10. Anyone interested in a pre-meet and convoy? I'm coming from Coventry so not far.

Re: MITCAR 2016 - 27/08/2016 20:38

Washed mine this afternoon.

No rain here unfortunately: The local pub has been putting on a crap music day at full volume in their 30 foot rear garden.

Re: MITCAR 2016 - 27/08/2016 20:46

Flip me it absolutely chucked it down around here for about three hours this afternoon - I'm not far from Gaydon so probably a good job its tomorrow and not today! Roads were flooding. Forecast is clear for tomorrow morning but showers from around 12'ish. I'm aiming to be there about 11. See you there.

Does anyone know if it's located on grass or on Tarmac?

Re: MITCAR 2016 - 28/08/2016 18:28

Not a bad little event. Didn't get to meet anyone unfortunately. Did anyone else see the Alfa 155 with a coupe turbo engine in it.. Very nice!
The museum was not bad, I think the car storage area was actually better. In amongst the few Gems from the British motor industry (xj220, xfr, mini etc) There was some utter rubbish (metro, maestro) and brown velour interiors.....
From the coupes I looked in I think mine had the highest mileage at over 150k all be it not on the same engine..

Good day out at Gaydon, my first club event, only had the car 3 weeks. I met Peter & Mike + a guy and his son in a dark red coupe, apologies I didn't catch your name. The club seems to be very friendly and helpful.

Re: MITCAR 2016 - 28/08/2016 20:41

Hi BillyH we were in the red one. Loui and Nic ( his my brother) lol I won't tell him. We dint stick around much with the coupes. The were some awesome machines that caught our attention and we were running around like headless chickens! But ye was a great day out.

Re: MITCAR 2016 - 28/08/2016 21:06

Hi billy very nice Coupe by the way.

A good little show, too many Alfas : laugh

And yes I agree that the overflow museum was better than the main one.

See you all again soon. I hope

Re: MITCAR 2016 - 29/08/2016 10:30

Another excellant MITCAR event. It is organised by the Alfa club so the Milanese do tend to dominate (fine by me!) but lots of other cracking cars to see as well. Especially welcomed in these parts as Auto Italia have now dropped Stanford.
Great to chat with Mik and Pete thumb Apols to others - did not see anyone else - I had my 9 year old with me so spent alot of time in the museum! Anyway a few pics.....

I managed to sit in it but really struggled to get out again. Definitely not for the stout amongst us

Re: MITCAR 2016 - 29/08/2016 22:05

Damn I completely missed this! And I just live down the road. Doh!

Looks like you all had a good time. I saw the 124 Abarth at the Brands Hatch event the other week. I also think it looks better in the flesh. Unfortunately the ditzy car sales girl couldn't let me in the car because the guys who delivered it in the morning had locked it and gone off with the keys rolleyes
