Alison just out of interest does your starter make that noise after it has enguaged is that why you need a new one .
And good luck with the 3 13mm bolts as there nice to get too .
The meet in yorkshire at the weekend started with 7 coupes and 3 bravos and ended with 1 coupe and 3 bravos. Were hardcore, the first there and the last to leave.thats our commitment to all we do .

Re: Any Midlands meets soon??? - 13/12/2006 05:24

It spins the engine over for a sec then disengages, then just whizzes!!

At first it was ok.. now it takes about 3 or 4 attempts to start it... Bloomin Alfas!!

I think I need to get it done sooner rather than later.

what the hell do you people do to your clutches?????
Posted By: MCMike

Re: Any Midlands meets soon??? - 01/01/2007 19:17

Nothing !!! mines only been in a year - I don't ride the clutch, very rarely do rapid get-aways...i've just got too much torque for the standard clutch now
Posted By: Anonymous

Re: Any Midlands meets soon??? - 01/01/2007 19:22

I think i will be purchasing an uprated one before too long.
When the engine was out i stuck a clutch in whilst it was easy.
But with the current output and the super fast spool up i dont think the clutch will cope much longer.
Posted By: coupedummy

Re: Any Midlands meets soon??? - 01/01/2007 20:12

just standard swap as car is still pretty much standard and on its first clutch at 86k proberbly got another couple of k in it but niggling at me now.Just like dent,wheels....so much i need to do.not enough cash to do it with!

I've just started seeing a new GF and Star City is one of my fav places to take my lady-friends ("Gold Class" ) and had in fact suggested it to her for this Sunday coming...not sure how she'll react to being taken to a car meet but it's worth a try as clearly such an event is a priority

I agree that bravo is a quick car. I cant wait for the next meet as my car will defently be out the garage. Was a good run with johnny, rich and the other bravo soon to be a member of the turbo club.

Very nice to see you all there today.

Just a shame we had to bring the nipper along; (babysitter/motherinlaw) hurt her back this morning and couldn't have the little lad (Harry).

Still, nice to see you all and we found a bit for Harry to eat in Pizza Hut.
Next time I must be child-free!

Once again apologies I couldnt make it - Ill be there next time though!

Still, on the plus side my skirts are fitted (although fitting them in what seemed like gale-force winds and pouring rain is an experience I dont want to repeat... )

Still not finished everything i wanted to do, but theres next weekend....

Sorry I couldn't make it guys but I got stuck into doing my oil change and it ended up taking 3 hours...2.5 hours filing down a 9mm allen key to 8.5mm fit the almost-rounded off sump plug and then 0.5 hours to finish the job!

The oil filter was an absolute doddle in comparison!

Will be up for a spring/summer meet though, AND my install will be finished by then

Jeremy.
