yes what about a trip round anglesey,its about 40.50 miles around with a few nice stops on the way and if i sort it out with my old landlord at the four croses to be there at about 3 oclock when it not so bizzy we could have the last part of the meet there in the pub,and maybe some food aswell so what you lot think

well if parking is an issue at cowboys we could always do it at my house, got two big carparks across the road and if we are there after 4pm the shops will be shut so no other cars will be there.

I still have that 'heavy pencil' on the 1st July date cowboy! The Anglesey based event definitely swung it for me this time - we could call it the Mona run or something!?

Just read about the £3 million plus revamp of Anglesey circuit - now called Môn-aco in the local paper - so sounds good for that BARC meet on the 1st of July. Coincidentally, my mate was about to come up for that kind of timing in his Alfasud for a track day, but has now been up over the bank holiday instead.

Whatever we do - meet/drive/race/pub/bbq etc is good with me!

i went out today to do a route for the meet,and its all sorted its 72miles round and nice drive,so we meet at tesco carpark at 12 then short drive about 6 miles to a cafe for girls to have a wee and coffe and they sell some lovely local farm grown stuff there as well,then of for a drive half way round anglesey to church bay well to the pub in church bay stunning views,so a few cokes there and of to do the other side of anglesey to the other pub were we have dinner at 3 then thats my job done,will post a map sone plzz copy it and bring it with you,dont want anyone getting lost,hope this is ok for all

I'm too hung over to trawl the six pages, what time is the meet starting, where is it, what's happening? please

I know exactly how you feel today pinin!

The meet will be at 12 o'clock tomorrow in Tesco Bangor's car park (it's pretty big, but we should be able to find each other - amongst the multitude of Coupes that are there permanently!).

Tesco's is just off the A55 (Junction 10 - signposted to Bangor/Caernarfon). You'll need to turn right towards Bangor at the roundabout which is at the bottom of the slip road, and then follow Caernarfon Road for a couple of hundred yards towards the next smaller roundabout - where you will need to turn right as Tesco will now be on your right hand side (you can't miss it - it's pretty big!) - then just follow the road to the car park area.

We're then going to drive to and around Anglesey, have a couple of stops en route, go for a pub lunch at 3 o'clock, and then carry on with the drive - you'll have to check with cowboy tomorrow about later events e.g. the barbecue/stay over scenario, as the weather doesn't look too clever according to the forecast - so bring a coat/brolly!

I'm bang in the middle of Anglesey as I write, and it's clear at the moment - there's only been light showers today (no flooding - yet!), although a local farmer told me earlier today that we will get heavy rain overnight.

Well the day has arrived & here's an update on the weather - um, it's wet!! Actually, although we did have a LOT of rain overnight, where I am is not flooded - in fact I can see out the window the odd patch of sunny field!!

Admittedly, it's worse than yesterday here - big black ominous looking clouds overhead - but it's not exactly a surprise! As Dave said, this is pretty standard Summer weather in Anglesey!!

I'm not too sure where cowboy's place is (will head to Tesco as per the normal plan) & don't fancy the Coed Mawr off road (speed bump) assault course in a lowered Coupe with Modena bumper & "liquorice" spec tyres! Might have a gander on the royalmail site now for cowboy's address, but I can always text Coupedave if I'm the only one in Tesco's - is everybody going to cowboy's then, or will people still be going to Tesco? We don't want a splinter group for this meet as we're only about 8 strong I reckon!

Right, off to do final checks on the Coupe - I'll see you guys later. Chicken or beef for me maybe!

OK guys - here's an idea I've not been to Cowboy's, but I know from his post code it's in Lon Y Bedw, which is just off Coed Mawr road, so people going there will just have to use a combo of TomTom & eyes (look for the multi coloured Coupes!).

I propose to go to Tesco Bangor at noon as per the original plan, thus avoiding missing any people that DO turn up there (i.e. last minute entrants/no TomTom owners), and knackering my tracking/losing fillings/slippings discs in my back going over the speed mountains in Coed Mawr! Maybe then everyone can come from Cowboy's to Tesco car park (the far end - away from the numpties that can't open their car doors without denting the Coupe's rice paper sides !) giving people a chance to grab some drinks/snacks. I would say petrol as well, but I personally wouldn't put Tesco petrol in my lawnmower!

We can then go up the slip road straight over Britannia Bridge (bring your passports! ), and there is a Shell petrol station in Menai Bridge that sells the amber nectar (V-Power) if people need a top up. I'm just setting the video up for the French GP now (12 til 3 today) (a reminder for anyone interested) - go Lewis!
