Cowboy and I mentioned staying at the Ibis hotel in Carlisle again, the one that we recently stayed in

A good location for drinking and only around the corner from Robs place for eating

Not far from Penrith and all the nice drives.

The hotel is reasonably priced as well - around £40 for a single room, rather than the £70 or more that's been paid before in other places.

This is usually cowboys thing, to arrange the Lakes, but I'm just going by what we talked about a couple of weeks ago.

Karl, if you want to get the train up like you mentioned, i've got a spare coop to run around in if you want?

I'm off up to the Lakes tomorrow for a long weekend, it's set to be my first trip up there and I'm going armed with three nice driving routes from one of the lads that I work with who's missus lives in Cartmel.

I'll be well up for a Lakes meet later in the year providing I can get the time off work.

im off up to kendal/lakes for 4 days end of the week just for a mini break

I was up in Kirkoswald (8 Miles from Penrith) last weekend. We were blessed with fantastic weather for the full four days. Some great roads up there, was a nice first visit to the area for me. I planned out a good little (65 Mile... If you can call that little!?!) circuit that took in Ullswater, Windemere and Coniston. Gave the missus plenty to look at and gave me some nice twisty roads to negotiate. Everyone's a winner.

I'm definitely up for returning in a Coupe convoy.

I wish i had the time, working 6 days a week at the moment and i need to put the car back together after a respray and new front end mods

Might try and make this this year, bit awkward for several reasons but would be good to come back God's own country for a blat.

Off back up there this weekend actually, tomorrow lunch set off, so might see some of you holidaymakers on the main routes

I was thinking of 10 pin bowling on friday night mayby followed by a few drinks?(bowling is in carlisle 2min in a taxi)
Saturday morning a look around Carlisle city centre? lunch then head off for a drive through the lakes(route to be planned)
Then back to carlisle for evening meal at Rob`s restaurant (Mezzaluna) then out for drinks on our golden mile

Sunday,Breakfast at rob`s and a catch up on the previous evenings endeavours Then a wee drive to Penrith for sunday Lunch at the Agricultural (Rhubarb/scal_LE`s Hotel)
And for those wanting to take in one of the best driving roads in Britain! (evo mag has used it on two occaisions last year) a drive up hartside pass

Some of you drove this road last time and will also recomend it ?

All the above is just an idea at the moment so let me know what you think?

Can we organise it again like last time please, it worked out great for us; interested people initially, then definite numbers 1 week before, or sooner.
I wont be able to play around with numbers after this time with it being a saturday night so the sooner we have a confirmed total, the easier it will be and no-one will be disappointed.

Of course, not everybody has to eat here, but the usual goodies will be thrown in for the ones that do

You'll never know how scared I was, but pleasantly surprised at the capabilities of the Coupe trying to keep me alive

Pah, i came over hartside in winter with three passangers. Absolutely hissing down and all the windows steamed up. The suspension kept bottoming out too due to the weight! I thought nothing of it. It was only once we were back at sea level my passengers, looking a bit pale, were congratulating my drive over the pass

I'm meant to be working EVERY weekend in June.

However I have booked the first weekend off already. My preference would be the third or fourth weekend of June as I do a four-on-four-off and if this was the second weekend of June then I'd be away from work for 20 days and wouldn't want to go back!!!

I think setting a poll up would be the best idea!!!

We have the Chatsworth rally show on the 5th and 6th and the Spa trip on the 19th and 20th.

Awkward getting the time to do all and/or getting time off work, as well as getting money together

Perfect for me,as Im off for nearly two weeks then!

24/25 April is Time Attack at Oulton Park which counts me out as I'm there with another club called Zero260 (www.zero260.co.uk)... Also we're due to move house in the next week, so March payday is already spent for me, unfortunately.

There'll never be a date to suit everyone so I'll just see what everyone else decides and do my best to get along...

But, as a happy medium, what about May!?!

I won't be able to make it that weekend I work every other weekend and that's my weekend to work. Between sickness and holidays, it's hard to get time off at the moment

The meet went well with a stop for lunch at the sportsman,then and a drive down windermere back over Kirkstone pass to Carlisle and mezzaluns for a cracking steak!
Low numbers this year but six coupes were enough to guide through Carlisle city centre
some great sounding 20vt`s,Hev`s na nearly had Johnnymar on the M6 slip road

My apologies again for not being able to make this. Will hopefully make the next one.

Thanks for organising another great day out Dave . Although I think I would have enjoyed the run more if I'd bothered to go to the toilet at the Sportsman before heading off . Other than a rude bar owner who obviously was rich enough to turn away 10 guests for meals and bit of clutch slippage after traversing Kirkstone pass (I'm glad we were going downhill!) the meet went great with no problems.

And to top it all off,our dinner at Rob's La Mezzaluna ,which is got to be one of the best bits of Cumbrian Coupé meets.

Once again it's great to catch up with good friends,easily one of the best parts of Coupé ownership . Looking forward to the next one.

I cannot believe I spent this weekend watching the F1 GP and supervising Mrs Stan building a new driveway, and completely forgot this meet was on!

I'm blaming Mrs Stan, and as a fine she can take me out to Rob's for a meal, her treat! Oh, and she can sit outside in her car watch through the windows while I stuff my face!

It was a good guess that i would find you all at the sportsman on my dinner break or i wouldnt of been on that drive out round the lakes, only mishap was that missing grid in the road that i hit and now buckled one of my wheels
