Monthly Wiltshire Meet. 1st Sunday of Every Month

OK, so lets get these meets more regular! Location will be decided nearer the time. Probably a pub and a short drive.

So get your names down and check back regularly for more info.

Fresh list would be good for each month as well.

Sounds good to me and the boss, may take a month to get the 1st sun in every month organised, but after that should be no problem.
lets hope other members are of a like mind, and not so many drop out after putting their names forward.

Not totally sure yet. Welcome any suggestions for places to meet. Preferably at some point going to a pub.

I will be up for this, will be nice to meet some like-minded people.

3rd October may be too tight for me, as I'll be travelling back from the agm and I suspect that won't be until early afternoon depending on alcohol intake! But I'll try.

Jaycoupe have you sold your 16vt yet? Looks a nice one.

no not yet but I am not that bothered if it doesnt sell, as I love it, and its not the cleanest example by far but its mine and I am proud of it, still cant wait to see some five pot monsters lol.

Ok so as meet is next sunday, better decide on somewhere, I can't think of anywhere! So since there are some good driving roads and its fairly central we will go for Devizes. There is a car park signed up for coaches and Wharf Visitor Centre. Post code SN10 1DY should get you near.

So if we meet there about 1430 - 1500 ish, have a bit of a chat and admire the cars, then go for a cruise round the long way to end up at the Waggon and Horses at Beckhampton for a drinky. Hopefully by the time we get here all the sunday diners will be gone so we can park.

I didn't get home from the agm til 2pm, then I sold my porto. Hopefully I'll make the next one in it's replacement

look forward to seeing the 16vt! Its a bit of a shame at the amount of coupe owners in Wiltshire, and the fact that there seems little interest, but never mind, we will still continue.

Haha, the 16vt is my run around, but it'll look very tidy once I've spent a few hours days on it!

Date of next one is November 7th.

The plan for this one is to meet up close to Swindon around 10am (tbc), then take a drive via Cirencester and the Fosseway to Gaydon Motor Museum. Have a look round the museum and chat, then may or may not stop at a pub on the way back for drinky/food.

Obviously the meet is open to all, so if anyone wants to meet us at the museum, then thats cool as well.

Thought I would get a post up now for this, so hopefully people have enough time to arrange to come along.

Ohhh this sounds good. Ive even got the day off from work and everything!

Sorry for not making this months, I had to be called to an AGM meeting for a local group I'm in.

I'm out for the 7th although it sounds good, got to be in Preston that evening.

Arghh I can't make the 7th. That's a weekend I'm with kids and am due a trip to Brighton to visit my folks

So im thinking we meet at the Services at Cirencester about 1030 on the 7th November.
Its on the junction of the A417/A429, there is a Little Thief there and a Filling Station.

We will then head off following the A429 to Gaydon.

Its about an hour drive from Cirencester to Gaydon I think, obviously you could always leave earlier than us from Gaydon if you needed to!

I take it we're still on for this? Any more names to add?

Due to lack of interest we have decided to call November meet off.

More lack of availability than interest, I'd enjoy a good run up to Gaydon too. Next time if I'm child friendly I'll be there!

I will attend a december pub meet if theres one on.

Won't be around on the 2nd January, clashes with the 200+ car 'Heavy Metal Classic' at Standlake Banger track in Oxon, good day out though if you like old metal getting bent.

So I propose we meet in Cricklade about 1430? as its good easy access for all. There is a big car park just on Stockham Close (very close to A419 exit), or if there is an event on there is a big layby just before.
We can then take a short drive to The Sun Inn (SN5 3LU) at Lydiard Millicent for a drinky.

Guys I'm useless, but gonna have to duck out. I've spent so long working OT this week that I've just flaked out, feeling pretty run down and the Coupe looks like a mobile landfill site at the moment.

No worries, if it's any consolation mine hasn't seen soapy water since before December, and that's 2 track days plus all the snow and ice!

Hammy - nothing like a steady drive in the coop and a drink to sort all that tiredness out! Not to worry anyway.

Four Coops, not bad for a cold winters day! Shame the pub was shut! But at least the next pub wasnt too far away!!!!

It was definitely cold. I only knew Dan already, so it was nice to meet more coopsters.

Sorry about today guys; I wound up at the last minute taking three football hooligans to Wycombe to watch Gillingham lose 1-0... still had a nice drive though, and they even paid for my petrol.

Another good run today a pity it was so cold, and the first pub was closed, but the second one made up for it.
It was good to see the cars in convoy travelling the lanes in the snowy weather.

Sorry I was working that weekend, and I'm going to be out for April because the night before is my stag do.

What are peoples thoughts for a meet on the 3rd april? Bearing in mind its Mothers day. We could either meet at the Freake arms on the road to highworth from blunsdon, or if people like bikes we can find a spot on the side of the road and watch some of the bikes come passed on the now annual mothers day ride help for heros.

Is anything planned for May 1st?
