South east meet 20 March

Anyone interested in a south east meet, somewhere in the bucks/berks area? Been thinking about it for a while, there seems to be a fair few of us around here. Thought this place might be good, The Shirehorse Pub big carpark and easy to get to. If enough people are up for it i'll give it a go at organising something.

Wasn't planning on the midlands meet but may end up going. Sunday seems like the best day to me as well, as for the weather maybe we should make this one for later in the year when it's dryer and warmer? What do people think about the venue? I'm open to suggestions.

There is a lot of water features in berks isn't there? Maybe a water park with a pub. Eye candy and a pint

Dropped in to the shire horse pub this afternoon, looks really nice. Pub was packed but still loads of room in the car park. Looks like they do a half decent roast too

Since Blueflame can't give me a delivery date for a 200 cell Cat, I'm not sure if I'll have a MOT by then- how long can it take to build one!!!

I have been hanging on waiting to hear if my car will have an MOT by Sunday but now I know that due to Blueflame's incompetance I have no CAT and therefore no MOT (dispite waiting 4 weeks!). So I'll be the guy with a paper bag over my head in an Audi on the other side of the car park! That's if you can bare to associate with a non-Coupe driving dude. It will be good to meet at least and all will (??) be well for Auto Italia (I hope!)

Just came back from the meet. Must say I enjoyed it alot. Was my first meet and was nice to see so many other coupes.

Good to meet some new people.

Apart from Brooklands AutoItalia for the last 2 years, this was my first meet and I really enjoyed it. Some really nice coops and had a good chat with a few good people.

Good weather, very good location, great pub, very good day out, just had to shoot off a little bit early for a kids birthday party.

Apologies we didn't spend more time chatting. I was somewhat concerned about tyres rubbing on the arches; in fact, on the way home I had to do some rearranging of the load in the boot (40kg of toolkit and paraglider) to get the load off that back left corner. That's what you get when you're still in shakedown, I guess.

New springs to be arranged first thing Monday. The leaking gearbox oil is a mere courtesy detail...

Well it had to happen to someone and today it happened to me! But a very very big thank you to bockers and nismo for one lending me a CHOD and for helping me fit it! The car ran perfectly home and I stopped halfway home and bought some new coolant and then bleed the system again in a petrol station!

It was a distressing sight seeing you drive up with steam pouring out from your car. I'm glad you got it sorted, fixing it in the middle of a meet in a car park was pretty awesome.

just got home from stopping in fulham for a cup of tea at MrC's and i followed him home and the car seems to be fine , no power loss or any signs of damage so i think he's a very lucky boy , so a note to everyone check your CHOD's not on the outside but inside the pipe for cracking

Let's see if we can't choose a day between now and Christmas to meet up and "chew the fat". Anywhere in the South East would be good- maybe westwards since we were on the Surrey/Kent border last time and drew in folks from the Sussex/Bucks/Berks (and beyond!). Makes no odds to me given the south coast location; it's all an enjoyable drive for me!

Good weather and no mechanicals is all we need- together with a large car park and good hospitality- any ideas?
