I've been away from the forum for a long time...two much work at work, at school, lots of extra projects (carpc, ecoshell marathon,...) but I'll start a thread on my new carpc installation...I hope to have it ready by the end of the month.

It's not only a new carpc, it's also a new sound setup.

As far as the carpc is concerned I'm installing:

jetway board with amd geode 1750
512DDR
80gb samsung 2.5" sata
navilock sirf3 gps
webcam installed in front spoiler
hda xplosion (optical conection to be used)
(....)

For the sound setup I chose (appart from full sound proofing and bla bla bla)

polkaudio mm 2104
dls ms6 a (front)
phase linear cfs 165.25 (rear)
hifonics zeus 5.1 (actually it'll work in 5.1 phantom since I'm not installing a centre speaker)

here are two teaser pics tongue

oh nooooo....shame on me...forgot to add new pictures

the sound is connected using optic fibre and there's no distortion what so ever,at any level (ate least until my head feels like blowing)

there are still a few details missing, and the car was really dirty but...

next thing to do is a new gear knob and maybe cut a little bit of the gear stick (is it possible? I know it'll be harder to use it, since M=F*d)

Oh yes, def need a how to guide! I have for a while wanted to do this. My ideal set up would be so that the heating etc is controlled by a touch screen monitor! Now that would be a challenge!

who's that "how to"? never met him tongue

it's possible to control the the eating with some actuators, but I wouldn't relly on windows to take care of anything inside my precious apart from sound tongue

as for the "how to" it's kind of hard since I don't have any pictures of the process...I installed it alone, but I also do it for other people on my spare time, I can, however, try to get you all some photos of the process in other cars wink
