Firstly thanks to all those who have been given me advice on the forum regarding the various Coupe's ive seen. Today was Coupe # 4, and it was the best by a fair i believe.

I am the 2nd owner, and it has a full fiat service history from two garages in Croydon. I verified it over the phone and actually found out it had had one extra service which the guy selling it (trader) didnt know about - as the book wasnt stamped. It was serviced 2k miles ago and that was its 60,000 mile service. The millage is 50,800.

Its not got leathers, and its not black - my first choice - but interior is still lovely and the dark green colour is still really nice! I bought it for £3,600 - it needs the camblet done though.

Bought it this afternoon about 12pm and been driving it home and visiting a few people on the way - just got it home and took the family out for a test drive. It drives very nicely.

Just had my fisrt issue though \:\( just when i drove it now it seems to have developed a bearing-sounding noise from the front - sounds like a classic bearing - bit of a bum!

My previous car was a VW Corrado VR6 Storm [which is for sale if anyone is interested! 243,000 miles on the clock though!] and its interesting to compare the characteristics of the two engines. The turbo kick has been fun - ive been trying to drive convservatively though till the cambelt is done!

Really pleased with teh purchase overall - i am glad i didnt buy the other ones i had seen. Having a good service history, low millage, and 1 owner who's looked after it well from new far out weigh any colour / trim issues in my mind!

The car is totally standard - so need to start making some changes over the next few weeks - after the cambelt is all sorted that is.

Photos of it are here:

Are you serious? The drivers one doesn't look in 'excellent condition' to me.

I think Mitch is right, the driver's bolster looks a bit the worse for wear although that can be re-trimmed at a reasonable cost.

If you decide against them, or lose the auction (I think they'll go higher right at the end) then contact Carlt on here when he gets back from his holidays in a couple of weeks. Carl is bound to have a decent set, with prices ranging from £250-well, silly money for tarty LE red and black tart's boudoir stuff \:D

Driver one has definately seen better days - agreed - but i think it can be fixed.

I've put in my bid but agree with stan that the price could rocket at the end.

Where does Carl get his interiors from?

PS - Number plate is still incorrect! Hoping to sort that out soon along with getting some road tax for the car

Welcome to Coupé Ownership, best colour too

No need to rush for leather, it crops up all the time.

Carlt is the breaker of Coupés and is one of the Forums busiest used parts specialists Whatever you do though don't pester the man as his fuse has been known to be rather short at times, although he is currently on Holiday so he should be well chilled when he returns \:P \:D

Short at times? That Carl is like running a 1Amp fuse on his head most of the time! \:P
