Well with the amount of work going on at the moment, lets see some proper project pics. Ive got loads ill put up. There always popular.

So any mid work pics, paintjobs, engine swaps, modifications, accident repairs etc. Lets all see them for a peek.

Maybe slap some good before and after pics, after mods & perhaps encounters with harmfull objects. \:D

Mine when I first bought it, had already been in the wars. Melted rear bumper on one side, damaged on the other and the rear quarter panel, by the fuel cap was dented and damaged(still like that now). No service history, only the one key, etc, etc, but it was cheap enough at the time, so I thought fccuk it and bought it \:D

When I first bought it:

Harmful object a couple of weeks later \:mad\:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v605/theresa0666/Mybentbonnet.jpg

Persuaded insurance not to write the car off and repair was authorised \:D
Car was straightened, bonnet bought from Carl \:D Zender kit, vented wings, ordered, painted and fitted, etc

Yes, the accident was about the middle of July and the car was finished around the October time.

No, it's not my garage at home - I wish it was \:D

It's where I work \:\)

Heres mine when I first got it

Clicky
Clicky
Complete with bump

It then went to the bodyshop to get that bump sorted and came out looking like this:

Clicky
Clicky

Clicky
Most Expensive Mod Ever!

I then went from normal lights to HIDS

Standard Exhaust to Blueflame Catback

Also changed my Wheels

Shortly after this happened \:\(

Resulting in this Car got towed to Motormech and Paul fitted the engine that Barbz built for me \:\)

The end \:D

P.S I have 100's of other pics from various different events in the coops life but for time reasons Im not posting them right now ;\)

Well as most of you know I killed my coop last year by wrongly fitting a headlight bulb

But not quite as many know that I was in a massive smash on the M6 when I was hit from behind by this and pushed into that

Still in the hire car (see sig) because apparently they need to send someone to come and look at

this
very
dead
carina

...to asses if it can be repaired

So my curse of cars continues. I think all would have been fine if I had just kept my little Honda

Ps. 205 for sale , I dont feel safe in anything without an airbag or ten °\(

I really miss doing nice cars from start to finish like that. Not even had time to do one for myself recently.

Thankfully, ive got quite a proper project on at the moment, 6 months in already, so its keeping me happy. ALOT of work, nice that neither me or the owner are paying the bill. Its got quite a personal affair now to make sure the car is how i see it should be.

Here's a couple of peep shots.
Stripped back just for its primer further than most are for paint
Every inch of the orignal paint prepped slowly, not just the dents/damage
Ready for a first primer
Sat in first primer

Now waiting for another proper prep, virtually back to filler and metal again. Then all and i mean all the glass and interior is coming out. Re-prime it all over.

The whole engine bay is being painted, inside bonnet, chassis the lot.

Every door jam, with the doors off. No masking, just the gutted shell, will never peel or age around windows this way.

Then re-assemble with stainless fittings, polished goodies and as many new parts as i can lay my hands on.

Alot of work and waaaay to pricey for the average owner and coupe, but thankfully its worked well, i want the car mint, more so than the owner, he's not pushing us for time, so i can do it as we can, and do it how we can. Hoping it will be our by far best job. \:\)

Hope you dont mind me sharing pics. \:\)

Problem with us Paul is time. Im booked now till February, thats without the 20+ cars my company or me own. Were booked so far ahead for one reason.

I probably will go back to it, not for profit but for satisfaction only, meaning those i do choose to do will be done properly but very cheap, depending on a few things.

Gone of the days of just painting any, i could cry with what some people do to our hard work. \:\(

At this moment, i could PM at least 5 people on here, and book a Plus, two LE's, an inky black and a yellow 16v if i wanted to take some on.

But not at the moment. \:\)

So very satisfying seeing something stripped back and made all spangly again! \:\)

Bit like when i do a kitchen, stripping it out so it looks bare, then making it look pristine again!! \:D

I cant find the pictures i took when i got my coop nearly 4 years ago, i fear they have been lost when my comp was upgraded after powerpack failure.

After a few years, knocks and scrapes i treated the coop to a respray. Although it wasnt a total strip down it did look rather nice and i decided to go for a slightly different shade/tone of moon grey. clean

and ding free

Then 5 months later the wife of a co-worker did this to my coop, you can see the traces of paint from the blue corsa.Stupid women
height of damage used for insurance claim

Now its off to the body shop for a massive job becasue of this dent and small scratch. The body shop guy was very helpful with the insurance accessor and explained it was freshley resprayed a matter of months ago. I am paying for my LE kit to be fitted though. Here is a few progress pictures! what a state!
no roof/3/4 pannel gaps mean big respray both sides!
cracked screen coming out too, hope i get a good screen =(

I will post any other pics as soon as i get them, hopefully when my cars back people in work will take a little more care!

19/11/07 update pictures taken on phone at night!
looks like scrap!
All that white primer makes me think about going pearly!
Checking sills after seeing a scary topic!

Well, I bought my coop about a year ago from Skint off of the forum and have been a busy little bee bringing it to where it is now.

When I first got the car it looked like this:
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c349/Franko86/DSC00041.jpg

And after some serious cleaning and sweating she looked like this:
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c349/Franko86/DSC00045.jpg

The car stayed the same for a little while with little changes here and there until an old lady decided she would drive into the rear of me when I was sitting still \:\(

http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c349/Franko86/DSCF0818.jpg
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c349/Franko86/DSCF0816.jpg

So it was time to go to the bodyshop and get fixed. An after a couple of months I had he car back:

http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c349/Franko86/DSC000472.jpg
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c349/Franko86/DSC000452.jpg
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c349/Franko86/DSC000442.jpg
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c349/Franko86/DSC000432.jpg

And then I decided i wanted nicer wheels and Brembos!
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c349/Franko86/DSC00086.jpg
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c349/Franko86/DSC00093.jpg

There are many things I have done and haven't bothered to list because it would just bore most folk, but I am pretty happy with the car now, looks much better than it did when I first picked it up. The pics aren't the greatest and the weather has been crap recently which is why I havn't got decent photos of how the car is now, but hope you like my coop anyway \:D
