This are the parts you need to order at Rockauto. You need both, the first one is the connector, the second one the solenoid.

I recommend to use this connectors to install the new soleniod, otherwise you have to cut the original plug.

is it worth doing?

It depends. The OE EBV is crap, but if you never had problems? I like how exactly and quickly the GM EBV is working.

The lonely one goes to the charger housing. On the other side of the valve, there are two connectors. The one in the middle, which is equipped with a air filter (you have to remove the filter), goes to the air intake pipe for the turbo. The last connector goes to the wastegate.
There's no polarity for the electrical connection, so it doesn't matter how you connect it.

Looks like the right boost valve. How successful are these on 16VT's.
