Yep it's me again.

Since leaving you guys I've had an Integra Type R DC2 which drove me mad due to no torque and massive noise on motorways. I now own an Audi TT 225. Bought it stock and already had it mapped to 260.4bhp and 272ft lb.

I love the car, the build quality and everything about it BUT it's just so common. Since owning 1 already 2 of my friends have gone out and bought one and they're both girls and it's really irritating me.

If I came back to the Coupe fold, which I'm considering, I'd be looking at spending £4k on a really good condition LE or Plus and it would have to be pretty much perfect especially mechanically!

I'm toying with the idea now just wanted people's input.

I must admit I miss the 20vt note so much and the harsh acceleration!

I like TTs but like you say there's something about having something a bit unusual. You know you should never really have let that 16vt go Diddy - as I loved the way that you'd got that looking so mint and also was mechanically so sorted. Someone's got a lovely car out there...

I don't think you need us to tell you what to do... just sell the TT and buy another Coupe. thumb

It's just the Coupe was so different and so much faster than most things on the road plus that 20vt howl. BUT worried about reliability hence want to pay a lot for a "hopefully" solid one!

Even a 'solid' one could turn out to be unreliable though.

If you have 4K spare to spend on one, then why not buy a cheaper one and keep the spare cash back for any reliability issues, should they arise.

You've been on here long enough now to know what the common problems are, so just be prepared for them.

I'm sure you just enjoy the attention of these welcome back threads laugh tongue

Welcome back! laugh

As someone already said, there is a lovely low milage plus on solo Italia at the moment. Could do with a bit of haggling though. Good luck mate. It would be nice to have another local owner smile.

Pffft still looks like a commoners dream car wink And a female commoner at that!

I'd get very bored counting all the TT's I see on a 350 mile round trip like I've done 3 times in the last week. Not one single coop spotted in those 1000 miles.

Diddy, bin the german mobile, and get yourself back in a coop. Simples yes

oh dear diddy! You had a mint 16vt, if you'd have spent about about a grand on it (cossie turbo... Larger dp ... Re map) you'd have had a 300 bhp beauty with a little more torque!
anyways welcome back buddy.... Good luck with the hunt!

Agreed, definitely a hairdressers car laugh

The coop is too damn wide, rare and maintenance-reliant to be classed as one, in porto however.... tongue

I would have a TT RS in an instant, best use of a 5 cylinder since the Coupé.
