As you probably remember, back in November last year when this project was started, the £ v € rate was very volatile.

Even goverments were unsure of how it was going to go.

We decided to treat them as being of equal value until we had made all payments due in euros to the organisers and received all payments made in euros.

We have now done this, and can make the necessary adjustments to ensure that everyone, whichever currency they paid in, has paid the same price for their Fiat Coupe Club UK package of weekend entry and coupe only track time.

The figures are as follows:

Those paying in £ paid £100.00. (Obviously)
Those paying in € paid £ 86.64. ( On average)

The difference is £ 13.36 per car.

As you know this club exists to further the interests of all coupe owners, so we are asking those who paid in UK pounds to consider making a donation of the difference to the club.

If you feel that you would prefer not to do this, then please PM me and I will arrange for a refund to be made at Spa.

Payments made by the club on your behalf for additional track times were calculated using typical exchange rates as there was not the same degree of uncertainty due to the much shorter time scale involved.

Just to clarify.

No we don't want more money: We want both those who have paid in euros and those who have paid in pounds pay to pay the same amount

ie everyone pay £86.64 as have those who paid in euros, rather than the original £100.

At the same time it would be nice if the club could keep the extra £13.36 as a donation.

Hi Pete

Please treat my balance as a donation and thanks again for all your hard work to bring this weekend together.

Now can you sort out the weather for us please?

Dave

Guys

As many of you know I have stood down from club duties but I agreed to continue with the organisation of SPA 2010.

I would just like to remind you all that the club always try to make sure that any events we organise are FULLY self funding. The club aim is to never use club funds to pay for any event. It is understood that not all members can, or want, to attend or participate so it would be unfair to use club funds for the benefit of a few.

If the UK members attending Spa 2010 are able to make this donation I can assure you that the club will do its best to offer you something in return for your generosity wink

Thanks guys

Bob

As above, I'll donate my £13 odd plus the difference in the extra I paid for a Grande Parade session to the club.

The arrangement and handling of the bookings, etc are most appreciated.
