"Five unmarked cars containing eight plain clothes police officers arrived to conduct the search".

They could of shared a ride leaving three of the cars back at the station chinny

Internet gossip (so take with a cellar of salt) is that Cliff has changed to Barbadian nationality ,something that can't normally be done unless you marry a resident. Barbados does not have a extradition policy with the UK either apparently.

Local reports here are that he also attended a Hostel on Walton Upon Thames around the same time as Mr Saville. Add that to the conspiracy of him being complicent in Jill Dandos murder and you have enough to keep any moon landing doubter happy.

More worrying had it been five officers in eight cars, Joe...

And for the obvious conspiracy theorists: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-beds-bucks-herts-28783990

Yes five offices and eight cars would work......... with the aid of a couple of trailers smile

As for the Berkhamsted 'penis' map, haven't these guys got any serious news to report on or is it easier to just scrape FB, lol

I was on the end of a Cliff once. shocked

Sorry, I mean edge. Isn't he in U2? Perhaps he is next for investigation?

Anyway, from my vantage point on [a] cliff, I could see a large hill. Benny Hill I think it was. Below there was a large field called Sally, and beyond an Ocean called Billy. I looked inland to see a wood named Ronnie, and a village green called Peter... or equally, it could have been Sarah.

Just don't remind me of Graham BELL. Where will it all END?

I need a drink.

I'm curious as to what possible evidence might be expected to be found several decades (and multiple warnings in terms of other historic cases) later? I mean, if anyone did have anything to hide, they wouldn't exactly be keeping mementos in the attic, would they?
I imagine the police have a duty to investigate pretty much any crackpot claim, if nothing else, for fear of not looking into the one that turns out to be Jimmy Savile II...

I met Cliff on a flight from Heathrow to Manchester, and I can tell you - he's fine.

As it oftens turns out, the rather oddly, the answer it yes.

When people are doing something illegal or illicit they often like to punish themselves be holding on to items that could show their guilt. Think Harris and the letter from his daughter's friend.

On a different misdemeanor but another example I read David Millars autobiography and he describes how he deliberately left the evidence of his drug taking, which was duly found, even though he had ample opportunity to dispose of it.
The criminal/guilty mind is an odd beast
