Am thinking of buying a second Coupe. [Very long story]. Anyone aware of this green Coupe R543 LUD?

Also, how easy are creases to get out of doors/panels? They're double skinned aren't they?

I went to see it last night - unfortunately it looks like the gearbox and clutch are knackered and will need replaced.

another forum member came to see this last week and as I was informed in no uncertain terms last night by a witness (who also took photos), sorry but this car is an absolute shed.

The unfortunate would-be buyer wasted an entire day travelling the best part of 1000 miles on a car whose boot you can see through to the tyres, and rust is breaking through underneath the pininfarina badges. It's in poor body condition throughout - not even washed in addition to under the bonnet issues.

I'm in edinburgh about 15 mins from the seller so luckily not far to go. I knew the outside was in a state but was hoping it might still drive ok but sadly not.

This is sort of my fault- I have been observing LUD for a few years on and off, and nearly moved to buy it about 4 years ago, for 500.

There's not much of it left now and I should have made note of it on this Resource to prepare potential buyers.

Ah don't worry about it Dante it wasn't a long drive for me and the test drive was comedy itself so no harm done.

Yes i own a 1999 red 6 speed but unfortunately it's laid up in a driveway just now until i raise funds to get the engine looked at.

Was hoping if LUD drove ok and it was only cosmetic damage to drive it for a while and then swap some parts over to mine.

Yes, Skulkin from this forum had a similar problem and scheme in mind, but a cursory examination of the car revealed it was going to need about £2k just to make it a tatty example.

550 on gumtree ono however i never actually discussed it with him as it was obvious it was buggered and i wasn't buying it.
