Hi y'all.

I've been to a couple of these now and its a very pleasant morning to spend at the Bicester Heritage Site. The site itself is an old RAF station and was purchased a few years ago by a team who were intent on turning it into a heritage site for historic motoring and aviation plus its all based at a 1940 aerodrome.

The next event is planned for 7th Aug and although I'm not sure if I am actually attending I wondered if anyone else knew about it. You could always have a mini meet, or if planning something bigger you could always get in touch with the organisers to get a dedicated arear etc.. There have been a few clubs attending regularly such as the Porsche owners club. You may well be able to wangle a group deal for the car club.

The events normally have around 100 historic vehicles, old aircraft (Tigermoths etc..) and you also had access to various businesses on site, including car restorers, historic car sales, fabrication, upholsters. The business are based in the old RAF buildings such as the aircraft hangers, firestation, garages and blast building.

For £5 a head (kids are free) its a bit of a bargain.

If you fancy following them on twitter its @BicesterH or #SundayBrunchScramble

Hi Nobby. Thanks for flagging this up. Looks to be a meeting of great cars in an interesting location.
My step brother in-law lives in Bicester so I had planned on attending and seeing both.
However, my Alfa is still on axle stands outside the house awaiting attention while family life occupies my time.
Is it an annual event? I'll try for next year.
Please post some pics of the day.
Cheers, Huw

Hi Huw

Next one is in October - they are around 4 or 5 each year. I didn't actually make it yesterday as I went punting (oohh get me wink ) but I've already earmarked Octobers one for the diary.

Yesterdays apparently had a great turnout. Top pick was a Ferrari F40, in blue love
