The amazing Rick at Solo Italia made a tail pipe today for my VIS, and welded it on. Thus saving me hundreds of pounds another garage would have charged for a new back box etc. What a dude! It's a fantastic run out to his new place, through lovely countryside on the edge of the Cotswolds, AND I saw an amazing sight - a Galaxy aircraft flying out of Brize Norton! So I have had a great day, and The Coup is ready for Brooklands, just need to give her a good clean and polish. Sounds like great service from the specialist! In another life I used to work at Brize on major serving of VC10 and Tristars, used to do turn around servicing on the big US Starlifters on a regular basis- sometimes they would drop of tanks, helicopters and even other planes out of the cargo body
Doris the 1998 Portofino Blue 20V and Zoe the 1999 Alfa Romeo 916 Spider Bog standard needn't be boring...

It may have been a C17 Globemaster Annie, Brize is the home of the UKs C17 fleet, I spent many happy years flying on those.
Whatever it was, it was huge, like the Deathstar!

His name is Percy Duncan. Perhaps you knew him?
