Thinking maybe it’s time to release the coupe for someone else to enjoy. It’s not being used by me enough to warrant being sat outside taking up space and costing money each year to keep on the road. I’ve only covered around 6000 miles in this car the last 5 years since the engine was rebuilt in 2011, 500 miles of which were running in under 3k revs. I have other vehicles and only a 4 mile round trip to work daily at the moment so no need for too many long journeys.
Not sure what it’s worth in the current climate but it’s a well known coupe on this forum being owned by at least Arthur, Elliot and myself. Work carried out by Roger at Powerfiat, Flea at FC Performance and Barbz at Torque Italia in my ownership.
I bought the car from Elliot after missing the sale to him from Arthur a couple of years before. This was the only coupe I really wanted so as soon as Elliot put it up for sale I was in contact, outside his house, into the coupe and the deal was done. This was back in October 2007 and the car has been with me for the 9 years ever since.

£1000’s worth of receipts and invoices and a very extensive history file. This includes the full build from standard, photo CD between 2002 and 2006. Lots of service paperwork before I owned the car and since with receipts/invoices from Powerfiat, FC Performance and Torque Italia.
That’s about it I think so I’ll note some more info below;
Good Bits –
316 bhp so is fairly quick and responsive. Although I pretty much drive Miss Daisy! The Sparco seats hold you in place very nicely and are a very comfortable place to be. The Azevs in my opinion are one of the best wheel choices for the coupe and are one of the defining reasons I bought this car. They look nice and chunky and the size of the wheel and tyre combination holds the road nicely. There was not a lot for me to do when I bought this car as most of the crucial bits were already taken care of.
Engine rebuilt by the magician Barbz himself at 97000 miles in 2011 which included; TI Stage 1 cylinder head, Head Gasket, Headbolt Set, Balanced Rods and Pistons, Engine Stabiliser Bush, 20v Turbo Timing Belt Service Kit, Ported Exhaust Manifold, Bigend Shells, Lightened and Balanced Flywheel, Gapless Ring Set, Helix Organic Clutch, Shortshift.
Bonnet, Roof and drivers side door resprayed due to laquer peel .
Bits to take into consideration;
So if this was my daily driver and my only car I would probably spend a bit of money and get a few bits sorted out. I’d probably Fit a new stereo as the current one is temperamental. Since being sat around for a while the central locking sometimes plays up from the alarm key fob so I use the key. The drivers side seat has worn and now has a 6 inch or so hole as it takes a bit of a bashing when you get in and out. I would probably change the tyres in the near future and the front discs and pads. The boot, bit of rear passenger side panel and passenger side door are now suffering from laquer peel in parts and could do with a spray up. The wheels were refurbed a few years ago and shine up quite nice but have gained a few kerbage marks since. The spare wheel has some scuffs on also. Although pulling very well and producing 316bhp it was noted there could be a boost leak somewhere and the actual power could be more like 340 if sorted. It may be the turbo needs replacing or refurbing at some point as the DV26 has been removed for now as it was seen to be leaking boost a bit. (I quite like the flutter noise the car now produces without the dump valve!) The car has had a couple of injectors replaced at FC Performance but still seems to have an intermittent issue. First drive in the car in the day seems to be fine but when getting back in the 2nd time during the day the injector light comes on intermittently and the car runs on 4 cylinders. New injector and the boost controller may need setting up again by FC Performance and a tune up/remap should resolve those issues. Airbag light has been on as far back as I can remember, bit of black tape hides it away at the moment and never caused me any issues.
All in all I do love this car and always did even when it was owned by others. The colour, wheels and spec were perfect for me and with a bit of TLC this could be back to it’s best. Unfortunately I have too much going on for this to be taken care of by me and so it is up for grabs by someone else wishing to own a nicely specced coupe with good potential. Probably forgotten some important items within my waffle so if questions need asking no problem.
So what is it worth? Well with the bits it already has and the bits that may require some action in the future I’ll start the ball rolling with;
I already have too many vehicles so not really looking for part/ex and not really desperate for money either so not looking for a quick insanely cheap cash deal. I am of course open to suggestions and will take any decent offer seriously. The coupe is not advertised anywhere else currently and if it does not sell here may not be sold at all. Not on the forum too much so If I don’t answer straight away no dramas, but I’ll try and keep an eye on things just in case.
