No one seems to have mentioned that Joe (FCSS) has a plus on sale for £16K !

I think that's the highest price I've seen one. Lets hope the humble 20VT catches the wave of price rise.

Just so it's clear, it's not my Plus that I've advertised for £16k, the owner asked me to list it and yes it's high but it's very original, low mileage, has every scrap of paperwork since leaving the factory and if a genuine buyer is out there there's room to negotiate as there's only a handful like this one.

Motormech is also aware of this car - we sold it to the current owner a couple of years ago and when it was advertised, there were numerous comments about just how immaculate it was, especially under the bonnet. It had done about 25,000 miles when we sold it.

The current owner has improved it even further with Joe's help, so I agree with Joe that there is only a very small number of Coupes in the country as good as this one.

Yes, it is strong money, but isn't this what we've been waiting for?

Low mileage Honda S2000s are selling for £20k+ nowadays, for a bit of perspective. An immaculate Coupé is a much better car.

As I said in the original post I hope the 20vt prices follow a similar upward curve. Looking at the photos Joe posted of the underside and bodywork of that car I reckon my 20vt is in a similar condition but sadly not a plus.

Interesting price. My coupe is in similar, if not better condition and never in an accident. Only one owner from new and is an LE. Only negative is mine has 59,000 miles. rolleyes

I have 4 keys for my coupe. Red, (well kind of purple really) blue/silver, blue and black. That must add a few grand surely tongue

Be interesting to know what it goes for.

Good to see the price. I have a super Moon Grey Plus too and if I sold would advertise north of 10k. Also, to maintain these to such a standard, it's not cheap.

The black le on ebay is listed at £10k and looks to be in fantastic condition. Higher mileage though. It's been there a while. It will take time for the higher prices to take root I th8nk. All for it though, rising tide floats all boats 😊

That one belongs to Pete Trotter, 89k on the clock but again ticks all the boxes for it being an original example, if a buyer is out there I'm sure there's room for movement on the price, much like the £16k Plus.
