I'm sure all will be well mate. Don't rush back to the grindstone as it might just you up for longer than you thought.

Sorry to hear that Joe, got to look after number one at the end of the day...
Was diagnosed with one myself several months ago and had Op scheduled for last Thursday - then contacted the day before by the hospital to cancel. Apparently surgeon no longer available. No date set yet as to when mine will be sorted...
Its not strangulated or causing me massive issues yet but it does impact on lifestyle and I just wonder if it has to get complications before I finally get in on the NHS.
Thinking of going private but i've not had so much as a broken bone before and want to get something back.
Sorry to know you're suffering as well Pete, I did enquire about going private and was told it would cost me around £3500.00, and there stood a very good chance the surgeon doing the op would be the same guy performing this for the NHS, that seriously pissed me off Friday I can tell you Since this post I have managed to get a short notice date from the NHS and I am getting mine sorted via laparoscopy this Saturday- hopefully there will be no complications- will let you know what to expect when they get round to you!

been told I'll need dropping and and picking up so straight to the Drum and Monkey... home to bed after I suppose. Decided on your preferred post op recovery, Joe? Hope all goes well, and don't forget to rest up a bit

All the best for tomorrow Joe Has anyone mentioned you should be sensible and take it easy afterwards I mean, you've got Wimbledon, the Test match commentary, what else do you need ?

All the best for tomorrow Joe, mine went without a hitch yesterday and am now sitting happily at home. Taking it easy is the key so that you don't prolong your recovery

How was your first week back at work post op, Joe? Paperwork upto date and mugs clean? I final checked a discharge script for a bloke who'd had a right one done today at the hospital . Seems to be quite a common thing for us blokes. He was discharged with a crate of Butty bach for pain relief. See, Should've come to Hereford.
