Don't know if it's right section to post, but few 20VT related questions. I plan to build my second Locost project with 20VT longitudinally fitted on it. Have 2 spare engines and i want to use one. Problem is that i must "couple" 20TV engine with BMW E39 gearbox. I need a flywheel in order to take measurements for adaptor plate, but dont have spare. And it's hard to find one here. Did any other Coupe(NA or 16VT had same size flywheel i can use. Don't care if it's starter teeth different, i just need to take and measure offsets. And i dare to ask if anybody knows if some ever did something similar with COupe engine?

I can't help you in relation to the flywheel but when I was building a Locost I did wonder if it could work with a 20VT engine but never pursued the idea, mainly because of the lack of a suitable gearbox. I also feel that a Locost type car is better without a turbo but that may just be me. If I were to be doing something similar I think I would use the engine and original gearbox and make a mid-engined car - that could be good fun! Already have mid-engined Locost with 20vt.....but its mainly for trackdays, i need standard engined build in order to be able to register it. Turbo locost had pros and cons, but with gearbox adapter plate, i will be able to choose between lot of Alfa engines as well.....

Hi Ferrarist, Like the pictures. Is this a kit car? I am looking to build something similar, but don't like the kits out there. This one looks ideal. Frazer
