I am not really enjoying my latest hobby, a dangerous sport ... stair somersaulting. I was holding a sharp pair of scissors at the same time as I forgot where the landing ended and the stairs began. I therefore managed as I fell to give myself a nasty gash on the head. All the blood ruined my favourite T-shirt. This was just days after I did a spectacular Laurel and Hardy tumble on black ice at the park. Why are we designed to be more liable to fall at a time when reduced bone density makes a fracture more likely? Nature is kind to take away our sense of smell when we are more likely to smell of pee, but broken bones in old age seem to be a fact of life.
Do take care, Annie. Blood shouldn’t ruin a t-shirt. Pre-treat with some Ace (peroxide bleach) from the laundry aisle - but, whatever you do, don’t let the Ace dry. And then launder the t-shirt normally. Job done.
