Yesterday I did my first RR session. I bought a socket for the lambda sensor but it was so tight between the fan and the exhaust manifold and the socket was too long, so didn´t manage to get off the lambda sensor I want it to be easy to install a wideband lambda, so can anyone give me a tip on where to put an extra Boss for it?

My EBV was not in best shape. The boost pressure went up and down. So I need to clean it (didn´t have the time to do it before the RR session ).

When we started the guy (who owns the RR) placed a really small fan in front of the car. It was so small that I don´t think the FMIC was doing any good. I have made a small Picasso so you can see what I mean, pick of small Fan. What do you think, any chance the FMIC did any good?

My modds:

PA FMIC
Gtec 1
NGK BKUR 7ET

Original:
Exhaust, cat, airbox, airfilter and EBV.

Gas: 98 octane from Jet.

RESULT

Crankshaft: 255hp at 6100 / 368Nm at 3300 (271 lb/ft)
(Original: 220hp at 5750 / 310 Nm at 2500)

Transmissions losses: 27 hp / 29 Nm

On the wheel: 228 hp / 339 Nm

Graph here

Feel free to comment...........

Got to be happy with that - I mean you have effectively picked up 35bhp from the chip and FMIC. The FMIC is really a support mod for other mods rather than an out and out BHP gain.

I'm not a 20vt expert but sounds good to me - What boost was that at???

I have a 16VT with a long list of mods and made 260hp (flywheel)

I don't know if it's the ideal place, but the Hayward and Scott downpipe has the boss just before the flange that fits onto the cat ?

Please have a look at the link in my first post. I added it just minutes ago.

that boost curve is a bit up and down, typical EBV- a EBC or PRV may well be worth the $$$, I sell an EBC in the group buy for 85GBP or they go up from there.

My graph is below is from my last dyno run and while my turbo ran out of puff the boost line is alot flatter. Anyway maybe an mod you should add to the list but I think you should be happy with that result.

Have you got boost guage in the car?

My graph

I have an Autometer 3303-J.
Are your group buy still open? I am interested in your EBC but not sure if I want to spend £85 on one.
I have an Armval BCV11 in the drawer and I am thinking of installing it and set it to 1.1 bar (maybe 1.2). Or buy a more advanced EBC .

Freddan72, your graph is from Performance Trends Eng. Analyzer Pro software.
Did they gave you the graph or they were trying to simulate your engine performance ?

What do you mean I tested the car here in Sweden on a RR and the guy used this program to show the result.

Usually the EAP program is used for engine simulation performance and graph.
It can be linked to another dyno program in order to compare the simulated graph and the actual graph from the RR program. Unless, he used the EAP only for printing

Here it is an example of the same engine altering the turbine inlet by only 1mm .....

Sorry Freddan72 , my bad

I have just seen that it's the DataMite software from Performance Trends. This is a actual computer software to measure, graph, report and analyze dynamometer data
