right i had a quick go at installing a wiring kit for my sub and amp.
it was getting dark so i didn't get far but im going to try again on sunday.
some issues i found though.
there wasn't any nice places to go through the bulk head for the power cable. now i am only using 8 guage wire as its a tiny 10 inch sub and amp but still couldn't find a decent place to run it.
the other issue was when i tried to run the phono and remote wire and i lifted up the door seal to feel the cable down the sill cover and carpet but all the door seal seamed bonded to the carpet! also when i do this i the carpet sgas lightly where the bonnet pull is :-( where do you guys feed the cables. also issues with fitting the cables behind the head unit.
i didn't spend long and light was low but it seamed alot more tricky than the other god knows how many installs i have done before.

There's an easy route for the power cable if you lift off the passenger side rubber bonnet block thing and remove the 3 bolts holding the top of the wing on, then pull the wing back and you'll see a route in through two grommets (if they're still there) and you can pass the cable down around the back of where the ECU is mounted in the passenger foot well. There's pic on here somewhere, have a look in the How To or FAQ section

The door seal should pull off easily enough, the edge of the carpet has some tape like insulation tape which wraps around the seam by the door, I guess it's just got stuck to the door seal.

But you're right, there's not much room to stuff all the cables behind the head unit

ok so i think the best idea is to lift the bottom of the door seals and then the carpet and then re-tape the carpet back down with something like double sided tape and some instaulation tape.
the wiring route sound ok. pain you need to take the top of the wing off. can you get larger cable down there as i might go for some nice ice soon and will need some zero guage cable for what i want.

is there any room behind the rear seat on the right to fed cables to the amp?

I wouldn't use double side tape, you might want to lift it all up again It's very easy to move the wing out of the way enough, you don't have to take it right off (the bottom bolts are tricky to get to anyway) You can get large cables down that route no problem. Where is your amp, in the boot? I've got one amp under the passnger seat (but had to remove the heat sink "wings" and another small one behind the rear passenger side panel, and the large amp under the seat powers the removable sub in the boot, it's easy to find a route through if you remove the bottom of the rear seat.

i know but i don't want it to sag at the top now. also it doesn't sit to the seal as well so i might have to use some form of tape like was used and bear that in mind if i remove it again.
might not be a bad idea mounting the amps under the seats to be fair although i might want it easy to remove for track days.
i will get after market seats to so they might sit lower.
il reomove the rear seat and see whats there. i want a really nice neat install that doesn't weight much and doesn't take up much room.

I mounted my amp in the boot against the partition. I just drilled a few small holes in order to pass the wires through.



It's best to remove the rear 1/4 panels to pass the wires through, and its a good time to sound proof that area while you're at it. I did mine with flashing tape from B&Q. There's a how to for removing the rear seats etc.

P.S The black carpet cap is missing as that's where the wiring mod for the fuel pump is earthed. It annoys me but I have to live with it.

mine is for a sub and maybe a 4 channel amp so the amp is currently mounted on the sub box.

i think i will remove the 1/4 pannels. means i can replace the soeakers and make sure there is no rust and sound proof it.
il take more time over it next time rather than rushing
