I just turned 20 this year and i own/drive a fiat coupe 20vt just wondered if there is any one younger than me lol, what sort of ages do these cars attract?

19 year old right up to 50+

Wow that's young for a 20vt. I couldn't afford insurance on a 20vt until I was over 30!

I was 28 when I got my 1st coupe which was a 16v non-turbo. I think the insurance was about €1,400 IIRC

My insurance is on my own policy but with my dad as a named driver and its around the £1300, expensive but worth it

the same as on the log book it says 20vt... if you go for a classic policy they would probably hold more value

VTs are group 18, LEs group 19 and Pluses group 20.

I just don't get how young people can get quotes like that for these cars. I'm 30, never had an accident, have no points, hold an advanced driving licence, am entitled to around 50% NCD and still struggle to come in much under £650...

I was 20 when I first got my 20vt. Insurance was suprisingly cheap iirc, sub £1000 I think.

I was 19 when i got me LE am 21 now and paying £900for insurance 22 in less than a month so hopefully will come down some more

I got a 300 bhp 20vt when I was 20, I think Dandan was 18 when he got his 16vt?

24 no claims since 17 and i pay €700 insurence for the year!!

I was 18 when I first started to drive my 20VT! Just turned 19 at the start of July and decided it wasn't worth it for the time being, Insurance was still a MONSTER!!!!!

So I've decided to put the coop off the road for a year and spend the money on a respray instead.

I have the social skills of a 4 year old. Does that count?

Seems everyone doesnt get bad deals on thier insurance good stuff, thought all 20vt's were insurance group 19

The more modified ones go down as group 20.

Bought my 1st 20vt last year and I was 21, am now 22 and still haven't given up on it LOL.

Had my 1st standard 20VT when I was 20.
Got my 300+ bhp 20VT Plus when I was 23
Now ive just turned 25 and have 381bhp 20VT Plus!

My Dad got his 300 bhp 20VT Plus when he was 62!

Bought mine when I was 21. Insurance: €4.000 a year.

When i turned 18 i got my 16vt through Admiral Multicar, putting my dads car as the second and it was surprisingly cheap. The weird thing is, i couldn't find a company who would insure me for less than 3k on a 20vt at the time!!

My 20vt was also group 19 and my Bravo HGT is 15, yet all the quotes come out exactly the same

Age is great, just about to insure mine for £174 Comprehensive (and yes, that's per year not month!)

A lot of it must be down to where you live. I live in a small town in the Cotswolds & park it off the road. I'm 25 just 1 year no claims & my premium is £480.

I am 47 with 7 years no claims and it still costs me over £500 FC
Imagine someone just passing their test at 17 trying to get a quote....that would be very interesting......as they slammed the phone down.

thats true stick an ebay filter on a 1.1 saxo and it will easily outsprint a 20vt

Recently got a quote too on a 20v n/a, non modified and the cheapest for that was £373

Well, mine costs $683 annually and insured for business use. That equates to about 300 squids. I'm on maximum NCB but I am and "old bar stool".

Unfortunately, I have to use a specialist insurer as most companies will not touch the Coupe as it was not sold here and they don't like private imports.
