Hi Guys,

My standard 20vt is currently laid up on the drive wasting away as I use my other car in the summer. Before the weather totally reverts to type I want to get the fiat's suspension and brakes overhauled. I need all the calipers removed & refurbed & handbrake cables replaced, new fluid & refitting at the very least. I'm also interested in any suspension improvements that might be possible as the car is very rolly polly & mushy in the bends. Need to find an experienced coop person or a specialist garage in the east anglia area to look at. Can hand the car over for a while as it's not currently being driven. Anyone have any suggestions/recommendations.

Thanks

Pete

You've got Power Italia in Essex who can take on the work for you.

You will love the car afterwards, giving the susupension and brakes the once over makes a huge difference to the way the car feels and drives. Overhauling the front susupension components, all dampers / springs and the rear trailing arms would transform the handling of your car. If you pay a specialist to do it it will cost a fair bit in labour.

Have a read of Bocker's experience of overhauling the front suspension.

Thanks for the reply. I have sent off a vague email to poweritalia to see what they suggest and likely costs of all the work. I couldn't find bockers posts on front suspension - could you post a link if it's not too much trouble.

Thanks, Pete.
