It is best to use some form of Boost Control, be it either a screw type (manual) or an electronic type (EBC) such as Gizzmo, greddy, etc. As it will stop any boost spiking, which can be hazardous to your cars health!

i would try it with your standard ebv first as that way you will retain the safety features of the ebv, if you are experiencing boost spiking then get a mbc or ebc, might be worth cleaning the ebv as well to give it the best chance of working initially

i've just fitted an armval prv and the car feels much more lively. with the ebv the boost would rise then go up and down a bit but with the armval it goes up to 1.2 bar and stays there! gtec1 must be used at same time as it increases fuelling. you would also need a boost gauge as without one you would never know what boost you're running with a prv. verdict - go for it!!

have both but awaiting health check plus oil leak needs repairing before fitting both! have gauge in its pod awaiting wiring to the ignition.so all ready to go!
