right its time i bought meself a better turbo for my 16vt
any pointers would be great before i go blow a grand,,,,lol
am after about 300ish bhp
all ready have intercooler,bmc airfilter fitted
and its chip,t to 250bhp,
ive all so got a uprated fuel pump and manifold just need to fitt them ,
with a nice turbo,and acctuactor
any idears were to buy one from and what spec,,,
i was looking at buying one from turbo technics

get an mistubishi evo 9 turbo up to 360hp twinscrol

by one of the cosworth hybrid jobbys like the t38 cant remember exactly which one but there good for 380bhp ish

save 250ish for a remap

First thing is, does your new manifold has a T25 or T3 turbo flange? No point in having buying a new turbo that won't even bolt on to your manifold!

Twin scroll turbos are great for four cylinder engines, but no advantage at all on a five cylinder. You also need a specific type of manifold to make them work. Do you have a 16 valve or a 20 valve?

That looks like a good starting point for a 16VT.

If you are going to keep the std T3 fitment, you'll need a T3/TO4 hybrid like the one above. The 50 trim TO4E wheel is very common for a 2L and will make well over 300hp if setup right.

A GT28 series with a T3 exhaust housing will also work.

duh! Sorry 'bout that.
You might want to ask TT about the next turbo up from the S164 - the S112/S114/S115 have more potential and will give boost from about 3000 RPM and max boost at about 4000 RPM (if you can live with that).
