Hi, new member still got mgb gt to sell & a 2002 Reliant Robin I'm keeping! Noticed there's a Red 20V 99 Coupe for sale up in Tayside area, says it needs power steering replaced & main key broken but red one ok with a spare 2nd key & Fiat garage can supply & programme a new main key for £97. For £1450 is this car worth a look/punt?

Passed the broken down Coupe on the A92 outside Glenrothes with clutch problem, 2 others had pulled in at this point to assist, hope it's not an epensive fix for the owner.

Cheers, Willie.

Hi and welcome smile

Not sure how much it costs to replace power steering, but if it's the pump, rack, etc, then there are plenty of Coupes being broken on here if you need spares.

You don't really need more than one key, but if you ever did, it's the red one that's classed as the most important, although this can be bypassed too.

As the red key and another key are available, you don't need any more, but if you did, a local key cutters will clone a key for you for around £30 and you won't need to go to Fiat for it to be programmed in.

If there's only these two problems, then yes, for £1450, the car is worth a look smile

Don't forget to read through this forum and check out the buyers guide etc too, as it'll help you know what to look for and ask.

As for the broken down Coupe, that was sparkyman frown A long time owner of a gorgeous Coupe and a fantastic person to know smile

They were all on their way to a car show.

Cheers for that, I had decided to check out previous posts regarding Coupe purchase & posted in the relevant section.

As the car I asked about is only 25/30 miles away I may view over the weekend, won't rush into a purchase at this stage though.
