Hi everyone,

Thought I'd introduce myself. Just registered this week and picked up my first Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo yesterday. Only slight problem I noticed is the Idle Control Valve not always doing its job but after a clean up with Carb Cleaner, it's running very well.

I've recently sold my Mitsubishi FTO which I owned for over 5 years but wanted something with a bit more kick (and I certainly got it!) As with the FTO owners Club, I assume pictures is generally a must...



I know the Tan leather isn't to everyone's taste but I think it looks awesome.

Anyway, will join fully in the next few days (when I get paid!)

Thanks for the welcome guys. I don't have a specific garage in mind yet to look after the coupe. A place in Ayrshire has been highly recommended. I can do a fair ammount of work myself (brakes, suspension, servicing, etc) but would rather leave things like the engine, turbo, gearbox, etc to the pro's.

Will be getting a nice set of black mats this week too!

From the pics that looks a very smart car.
The interior seems in very good condition.
Audioguys ink black was the first I had seen with tan. I think he had put it in? What I noticed was how the door card showed a bit more off to the shape, something you don't notice with a black door card. The way it swoops down.

Nazo, first off I gotta say, I loved the FTO. Bought it when I was 21 and not once did it ever let me down. All I ever replaced on it was the wear and tear items (tyres, brakes, service items, etc). Oh, and the drivers door after I hit it off my garage but that one was all me! I also loved the look and sound of it. 2.0 24v V6 is a nice thing to hear on your way to work! In fact, here's a wee pic...

Now the downside. It wasn't all that quick for a start. It doesn't even compare to the Fiat. I smile every time I get in the Fiat, the FTO just doesn't give you the same feeling. This is only made worse by the fact that Japanese interiors are Soooo boring! I installed white dials which helped.

So, pros are reliability, good looks (my opinion anyway), quick for a normally aspirated car, and cheap enough to run. Cons - not as quick as the Fiat Turbo, not as much of a "Wow factor", interior more boring than Jason Donovans autobiography, back seats useless.

Not that they would have seen any action anyways. U might as well remove them on your coupe and sell them mate!!

I have just bought another coupe and live in Falkirk, so I will keep my eyes open for you around town. Mine is a Green 20vT so give me a wave if you see me!

my coupe has almost the same plate as yours its a 4 instead of the 5 on the plate lovley cars hard on the wallet sometimes though.

Finally a paid up member from today! Lookin forward to many posts asking questions when things go wrong! Haha! Hopefully be few and far between, the cars only likely to do about 4-5000 miles a year!
