Wondering if someone can shed somelight please.
I have installed a new amp, front speakers and rear speakers.
All is working correctly - power cable 4 gauge(down one side of the car - the RCA's down the other.
When lights are off there is no interference, however when i switched my side lights or dipped lights a buzzing sound comes from the amp?
Any reason why turning the lights on would cause this??
Many Thanks
Mick

I have earthed it using 4 gauge cable to the nut in which the rear bench seat is secured to Jame5.
Szkom, the only wiring coming from the head unit to the amp is the remote and this is working fine. With this carrying current, I am assuming to activate the amp when the HU is switched on, I did run this cable along the side of the car with the power cable!
I am pretty confident the sound is coming from the Amp itself as it is coming from that direction. and no interference is coming from the other speakers. And it is a constant sound that comes on even if the engine is off, just the lights oin.
When I do drive the pitch of the whione does not change.
???

Just need to amend the above post, I listened more closely to the sound and th main buzzing sound is coming from the speakers, only the rears which are connected to the amp.
and secondly their is a small whine even when the lights are off raises with the engine revs.
Am i safe in thinking the buzzing sound is due to polarity? and the whine is due to a bad earth??
Many thanks again
Mick
