The pressure loss we experienced on our boiler was quickly diagnosed today as a leaking expansion tank. So I told the guy "hey, I'm happy, it could have been much worse, like a leak in the floor heating or something, you never know!". As I said the words I heard a massive THUMP on our roof. Due to the massive winds a massive wooden bench was blown over onto one of our light domes on the roof. Smashed to pieces.

Anyway - taking it with a smile. 2010 was much much worse!

Here's my personal wishes for 2012: that we may have nothing but minor mishaps!

Hey, we diagnosed it on Sunday!

Hope there's not too many bits of light-dome around the house.

It's like a brothel here now. I've put a red plastic bag over the hole in the roof.

I've completed the puzzle now though. Something tiger seal-ish (only stronger) is now drying and it'll go back on tonight. Seemingly the suppliers are closed this week and they don't stock up on it, so... 3-4 weeks before a new lens can go on.

Unless anyone on here is a Solatube dealer?
