.....but can you believe that this is right?

How did they get away with is?

Quote:

Here's the big issue: when Margaret Thatcher helped Murdoch launch Sky with exemptions from EU broadcasting rules, she added another bonus. She made the BBC pay £10m a year to be transmitted on the Sky platform

The most watched channels on the Sky platform - Murdoch gets for nothing.....gotta love the free market!

You a socialist OS? Who would ever accuse you of that? smile

Frankly TV over the Christmas period was dire. If the BBC "trounced" the opposition, that was just a reflection of just how poor the opposition was.

Most of my Christmas period viewing consisted of watching DVDs, saved Sky programmes and Fools and Horses.

Which reminds me. David Jason, wtf are you doing in The Royal Bodyguard, which is billed, very much wrongly, as a comedy? frown

Thankfully I saw the domain name in the link before clicking. Please put a warning before linking again to that turgid, whining newspaper for teachers and the socially repressed.

Ah yes, the one that blew the story of phone hacking...

Dont knock the guardian, they do make mistakes but at least they admit quite openly to me. They had the most objective reporting on the summer riots when all I could get was t'internet news.

Without them we would be left with the Murdochs rags, The Daily Mail and the Torygraph.

SB, do you have a direct line to The Guardian then?

Well even with them I'd happily settle for the Telegraph as my daily read.
