The researchers identify other health-related reasons for keeping the current limit, including the increase of gas emissions, air pollution and a potential rise in obesity due to more people taking advantage of shorter car journeys. Money well spent on that research then - a journey is not shorter if you travel faster FFS!! The only thing that could be considered to be shorter is the overall duration of a journey, which if you think about it can only be BETTER for obesity as you wont be sat on your fat arse so long. Pointless even 'researching' this anyway - everyone already drives at 80mph + now. Idiots. Quite how Tropical Medicine is somehow relevant to motorway speed limits I really dont know.

I think they are expert in the epidemiology (causality and spread) of diseases.

Idiots. Indeed they are. There is a speed limit, and some of us observe it.

Indeed they are. There is a speed limit, and some of us observe it. Ah but in a 16NA, speed is irrelevant. The sheer class and style speaks for itself, moving or stationary. Original and best.

Indeed they are. There is a speed limit, and some of us observe it. Look at you, getting all high and mighty. I've been driving more than 20 years and I've observed* at least 5 speed limits, so put that in your pipe and smoke it. * And I've observed thousand of speed limit signs, often while going past thinking, "50? They must be joking, I'm doing 120 easy"
Dear monos, a secret truth.

I think they are expert in the epidemiology (causality and spread) of diseases. ... so the faster you drive, the quicker you can spread disease . I suppose this could be true if you were Wayne Rooney giving a talk at the WI......
